Random game Saturday! Little Magic a fantastic single screen puzzle game that for some reason never left Japan, even though the manual is fully translated to English

Ok, life's been busy, so it's been a nice vacation from the ol' 65c816, time to get back to porting! No one is forcing me to do this, I enjoy it, I swear!

What's up #ScreenshotSaturday folks? We're making progress on our shoot 'em up. Looking forward to revealing the title, trailer, and Steam page soon(ish)! #gamedev #indiegame #pixelart #shmup

The MiSTer Pi switched USB-C to USB-C adapters are available again and shipping next week. If you wouldn't mind giving this a like and repost, i'd appreciate it. retrofrog.net/products/swi...

Another day another revision of Kid Icarus on SNES! Fixes: 1. graphical glitches at the top of the screen 2. prices in shops 3. items not being randomized properly unfortunately had to disable overscan for the graphical glitches. new version is available at the usual places (check my pinned post)

Archive.org is available again, all of my ports can be found here: archive.org/search?query... Additionally I'll be uploading them on this Mega.nz folder: mega.nz/folder/4th1U... As always, feedback and bug reports are welcome here, enjoy!

Released a minor update to the Kid Icarus SNES port to fix a couple of bugs: 1. Palette Updates were causing display issues when transition from 3-4 to 4-1. 2. The 3DS backgrounds were scrolling too far on world 3 in the randomizer. Archive.org and Mega Upload have both been updated with rev-d.

Somehow I don't think this b&w label does the port justice. Gonna need to get some professionally printed ones from @arielaces.bsky.social

Hey look @rumbleminze.bsky.social ported Double Dragon II to SNES with MSU1 enhancements, QOL improvements and probably the best MSU1 soundtrack of any port around. Check it out youtu.be/tlePlTEKdUY

Excited to release my latest NES to SNES port, Double Dragon II: The Revenge! Available from archive.org or mega.nz here: archive.org/details/doub... mega.nz/folder/4th1U... Full MSU-1 Support "A" button for jumping (simulates Y + B) Complete-able on all difficulties No code needed to continue

An absolute honor to find my work, along with the great work Infidelity has done, featured in this great magazine in my mailbox! Thank you for the kind words @nfpublishing.bsky.social !

In Part 7 of our Mario Bros. Retrospective, Mario takes his original adventures on the road, while he and his brother embark on some new 3D adventures, both in darkness and in sunshine. https://sag.rocks/3WgW4xH

My SNES Port of Double Dragon II is reaching the home stretch! Game is fully playable with MSU-1 support. Now I'm testing and making some minor tweaks. For instance, the menus appear to all use palette 2 with green hearts, but it feels like it was intended for palette 1, so I'm updating it.

The ending to the arcade version of Double Dragon II: The Revenge is... a choice.

An official statement about DEI-related content on behalf of The NES Works Foundation: -It rules, actually -All content moving forward will continue to embrace social and political agendas -A portion of monthly YouTube revenue will continue to be donated to Trans Lifeline, the ACLU, etc

👀 I know what I'm doing Sept 12-14

Version 1.2 of my SNES Blaster Master Port is available! Improvements: 1. full MSU-1 Support, with arrangement by @goddamnbathead.bsky.social 2. Fixed garbage sprite flicker that could sometimes occur 3. L will disable Wall.2 so you can jump properly. 4. OTHER STUFF mega.nz/folder/koI30...

So this is my gift to the Blaster Master community. Because the controls when you have Wall.2 stink! WELL! No more diving face first into spikes, lava, and pits! Just hold the L button, and the game will act like you don't have Wall 1 or Wall 2! Coming soon, along with MSU-1 Support!

While I let Double Dragon II bake for a bit, I'm taking some time to add MSU-1 Support to my Blaster Master port. I added an options sub-screen that will let anyone toggle between 2A03 and MSU-1 on a per-track basis without having to mess with files:

I am committing 70% of ALL PROCEEDS of the Brooklyn Tee + Sticker Set to help keeping BVGS running till March 2026. Our goal is only 1600 sets. Please share, RT, grab a set and support an AMAZING small business AND keep arcade gaming alive!

Double Dragon II is shaping up really well. Well enough that I did a full playthrough on SNES via FxPak Pro. Still some polish to be done, but I'm very happy with how well it's going: youtu.be/JL4Gj-0ApNI

Still a decent amount of work to do, but this ending fight with the Shadow Warrior is iconic, so I was happy to be able to mimic the NES's "enable greyscale" flag on the SNES:

Starting to work on the audio part of DD II, and sometimes you get fun results as you make mistakes
