Just read it for the 4th time. It’s superb, but I don’t see how it’s a commentary on Vietnam, though. STAR WARS originally caught the same, don’t see that, either. Tolstoy started modern “No one knows what’s happening in war, or why, it’s chaos” & this work feels like an heir, less 70s politics.
