Only 20 weeks until I toe the line again… given that we won’t get out of single digits (F°) today, I’m glad I picked a late 1st half of the year #marathon. No pressure to long run through this season. It’s damn #cold out there!

After a 5 year hiatus, today I ran a 2:59:48 at the Rocket City Marathon. Extremely happy with this one as a flatlander running the rolling hills of Huntsville. This was marathon 29, state 22 and 14th sub-3. #running #marathon #RocketCityMarathon #backonthehorse

In July I ran my first race in 4+ years. It was a 5k at 6:44/mi pace. Yesterday I ran an 8k at 6:10/mi pace. I am extremely surprised by, humbled and proud of my progress this year. Not quite where I was pre-COVID, but not really that far away. #run #running #turkeytrot #runchat

The general vibe I get here is like move in day at college. Everyone is friendly and excited to see who lives on the floor, and they’re all filled with hope for what’s ahead. …and the starter packs are like finding a flier for a kegger that night.
