Great to hear Femi of @ezracollective.bsky.social bigging up youth clubs and teachers at the #BRITs as they picked up their award for Best Group

Very refreshing to see something like this being written by a geography teacher. There's a lot here of relevance to teachers of _any_ subject in schools, and also do educators beyond formal learning including, yes, #museums and #galleries. 🏛️🎓

Great blog from @durringresearch.bsky.social and honorary maths teacher Ben Crockett (are you on here Ben?) on why positive attitudes to maths are so important researchschool.org.uk/durrington/n... #MathsToday

Is the maths museum in New York worth visiting?

In #MathsToday I gave my y10 son the same hw I give to my y11s. He did this (xx1 + yy1 = r^2 for eqn of tangent) which I have never seen before, but he learnt it from a friend doing AddMaths. We've just proved it. He's taught me something!

Starting y12 Differentiation tomoz. Years ago I had a great Cabri interactive where you dragged a point along the function and it plotted the derivative. Anyone know of anything similar pls? #ALevelMaths Ta!

Really interested in this given the work I've done on Disciplinary Literacy in Secondary maths - have signed up!

#ALevelMaths help please. Parametrics: I get very similar but not identical answer to Solutionbank (mine contains a negative) and I don't know why as I used a different method. Something to do with the domain? Thanks

#ALevelMaths I'm sure I used to be able to find "short" exam papers with just the questions on and no pages and pages of lines for working? Do these still exist? Thanks

In #MathsToday I taught a y7 class that I don't normally teach, and filmed them doing some Fluency tasks using double number lines from @ncetm.bsky.social Secondary. They were a pleasure and showed some great insights.

A Level question please... am I correct in thinking that dot product is no longer in A Level, so no more identifying perpendicular vectors? Or is it in for some exam boards? A bit confused as it is in Mathspad? @mathspadnicola.bsky.social #MathsToday Thanks!

First project of 2025: patchwork jarmies for my 16yo nephew (he'll either love them or hate them! 🤣) Aiming this year to recycle/ reuse rather than buy new fabric

Finally made the transition here. Help me find other Maths teachers to follow please.

#maths teachers - just moved over from Twitter/X (where I am @runningstitch) and need to find you all again! So please follow me or like so I can follow you. Thanks @mathsjem.bsky.social @1stclassmaths.bsky.social @ncetm.bsky.social
