First time I can recall that I've had it. But I'll be moaning about the warmth when spring arrives. 😀

Thanks! Slowly getting there.

This doesn't look safe at all.

Garmin which also sends it to the free version of strava.

Was slower than last year, but I'm just taking it one event at a time right now. Still happy to get it under 2.45, but much work to do to get better.

I'd agree, but when it gets hot, I'll be moaning that I cant wait for cold weather! :D

Been quite a while since I've run in the snow, I kind of miss it.

I brought one and I just hated it, really couldn't get on with it and enjoyed going outside way more. Just a shame the weather has been so crap :)

Excellent pace.

I hate tempo runs :) Probably why I'm not improving at the moment (that and the lack of running)

In terms of events, I completed: 4 half marathons 1x 70 mile ultra 1x 62 mile ultra So in conclusion, a pretty rubbish year. Must do better in 2025.

Walking I've been able to keep going at the same or similar for the last three years. (these are only ones tracked not actual walking miles). 2024: 518 miles 2023: 533 miles 2022: 501 miles 2021: 337 miles 2020: 221 miles (only part tracked).

Nice collection, only got about 6 or 7 this year, but starting to struggle where to put them all.

I've travelled around the UK a lot for events. I'm in the Midlands but have travelled 300 miles to an event in Edinburgh a few times. But I'd say the average for me is around 80-90 miles (being in Central England makes things slightly easier). For me its the logistics, if that works, I'll do it.

Think I'll do a 54 and 35 again in 2025 which I've done previously. That'll cover at least 1 event between Feb-July, but need something new. Wanted to do a 100, but think that will have to be 2026 (depending on how 2025 goes).

Thats my kind of running advice. If you run faster, you'll .... finish sooner.

70 miles is the max so far at an ultra event. The first time I did it, it was hell, but subsequent times doing the event its gotten easier and I've just been able to switch off. Knowing the route, how to approach it and where the pitstops are all seems to help with the comfort.

Telford is a great place to run around, haven't been for a while, but got a race there at the weekend over the iron bridge. Fantastic pace, wish I could get anywhere near that 😀

Way too dangerous to run in where I live.

Some good shout outs there for different training ideas but I’m just a basic guy with very basic training needs, go outside and try to run. Just don’t have the patience for anything else.

Bit risky. Decided against it.

Made it around but nearly got tripped up by a yappy dog, stupid dog owners having a dog they can’t control off a lead. First time I’ve made comments to a dog owner, normally a shrug and pull faces after I’ve gone past.

Awesome. Love running in the snow as long as its not slippy, but we dont have much snow in the UK so have only done it a couple of times.

Pretty much everything 🤣

I've got a 70 and a 62 miler next year, which can be done without too much training (as I did them this year and previously), but the Chester one has a lot of incline, so it'd be tough to do I think. Good luck on the Hitchcock Experience!

Yeah it's difficult. I've had problems with my groin for about 4+ years now, it never fully goes away. It's just something I have to manage. But my biggest problem is I am no where near what I could do 2 years ago.
