40 years ago, Atari was revising its product line ahead of the launch of its 16-bit ST. Meanwhile, a survey gave Sinclair 36% UK market share (vs 45% the prior year) and Commodore 27%. Interestingly, almost half of the computers owned by survey takers were less than 12 months old!
