Watching Joffrey and Reek trying to bully Jon Snow was quite a thing.

O, this poem as I wake. ✨ " ... I love certain places as much as the people whose memories inhabit them after they’ve gone."

New #poetry from Lisa Marie Oliver: "You’ll Never Be the Same".

I never thought a poem about shipping containers would touch my heart until I read this one from Katie Massa Kennedy.

We open for submissions tomorrow (3/1/25), Bluesky! Send us your best — we're excited to read your work. rustandmoth.com/submissions/

Gorgeous, breath-catching writing.

New #poetry from Gail Griffin: "Beautiful".

So good. Love ya, Katie!

Many thanks to the editors of Rust & Moth @rustandmoth.bsky.social for including my poem “Tuning Fork” in their exquisite Spring 2025 issue! Honored to be among such gorgeous company! If you like, come on by for a read:

So good 😊

New #poetry from Elizabeth Kuelbs @elizabethkuelbs: "Tuning Fork".

I just have to say this for my own sanity: the vaccines worked! They worked incredibly well! They were an astounding breakthrough, spun up at remarkable speed, and stopped a brutal pandemic from being even worse! And the major outcome of that is their mothballing by an objectively pro-pandemic party

Given that Bezos just did a full takeover of @washingtonpost.com and now it can only report that America and money are great--today is a great day to cancel if you have it, you check to make sure you aren't paying for a forgotten subscription.

"...to be gathered to you before either of our heads can be served to another. Life is short. The sea is close and storming..."

People around me who care about my welfare: "Hey Reyzl... Is this really the best time to be on record depicting everyone in the Bible as gay?" Me:

New #poetry from Reyzl Grace: "Midrash on John 6:6".

Republicans just voted to take your money and give it to billionaires. It’s not enough that House Republicans are enabling Trump and Elon Musk’s outrageous power grab. Now they’re selling out everyday Americans so that Trump, Musk, and their billionaire allies can get even richer.

New #poetry from Rachel Neve-Midbar: "A Night Without Bombs".

This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source. Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

Happy 2 year book birthday to EVERY LIVING DAY. Adam is a poet with heart. It’s on sale until the end of the month. @adamg.bsky.social 👤 thirtywestph.com/shop/p/everylivingday

The government shuts down on March 14 unless Congress passes a new spending bill. Republicans need Democratic votes to pass anything, but they’re pushing a budget that slashes essential programs, attacks basic rights, and hands unchecked power over to Trump, Elon Musk, and their billionaire allies.

New #poetry from Katie Massa Kennedy: "The Longing to Be Held".

This is so perfect. We should learn from it.

Thank you to Senate Democrats for unifying in opposition to Republicans’ scheme to punish working families. Democrats played procedural hardball and spent hours on the floor debating overnight, filing close to 100 amendments and forcing votes on 23 of them.

Donald Trump’s firing of military leaders — four-star General Brown and four-star Admiral Franchetti — along with top legal officers is a betrayal of legions of first rate service members who dedicate their lives to our nation’s defense. This is a growing national security risk.

I don't think I need to tell bookworms, authors, and writers that, if the USPS is privatized, everyone from big stores like Barnes & Nobles to indies like the one I work for is fucked, right?

Medicaid is not for sale. NASA is not for sale. The Post Office is not for sale. America is not for sale. We have an obligation to resist kings. We outnumber them. And they can be overwhelmed.

Wow. This poem had me undone. 💔 "She spent hours by the roadside, pulling weeds, waiting for a car that wouldn’t bring him back. I think she wanted a new boy to bury, something fresh to grieve."

New #poetry from ziqr peehu: "Every Grave Starts as a Hole".

“Our predecessors deposed a brain-addled king; they crushed the violent insurrectionists of a slaveholding confederacy; they kicked the Nazis’ asses throughout Europe.” “No entitled reality-TV has-been backed by an addle-brained billionaire who cheats at video games is going to roll over us now.”

New #poetry from Jordan Adams: "The Facilities Technician".

New #poetry from Allison Mei-Li: "The world has not been cruel to him yet".

Imagine being rich enough to do anything you want and choosing to take food and medicine from starving children to give yourself even more money.

New #poetry from William Aarnes: "Our Hike in Heavy Snow".

Jeff Bezos’ Washington Post would not run this ad. This is the power of oligarchy.

Good morning👋 here's my poem "Octobers", published by @rustandmoth.bsky.social

Donald Trump fired the people who make sure you and your parents get the health care you need. The people who make sure medical devices are safe for you to use. The people who approve the lifesaving drugs you rely on. How does this help working people?

It’s time to do what we do best: Make Republicans squirm and ensure Democrats fight like hell. Your representative is back home for recess and we’ve got events planned across the country (including Tesla dealerships). We know that showing up works and the stakes are too high to stay home. LFG. 👇

You think evil is going to come into your houses wearing big black boots. It doesn’t come like that. Look at the language. It begins in the language. —Joseph Brodsky

New #poetry from Hannah M. Matzecki: "Reading Room".

Make your calls. Go to your town halls. Ask your state and local officials what they are doing under state and local law. Rest. Hydrate. Make soup for the hungry. Don’t let people tell you that you’re doing it wrong. Not a sprint. Not a marathon. A relay. Find your team. Thank you.
