One thing Democrats need to be careful about when criticizing DOGE is not defending the system. The government *is* broken. There *is* wasteful spending—but there's a right way and a wrong way to do it. What Trump and Musk are doing is absolutely the wrong way. It's reckless and makes us less safe.

Okay, so I’m finally putting a thread together: what is the deep-blue Delaware legislature proposing to do and why is it the most evil thing not directly involving Donald Trump happening in America today? legis.delaware.gov/BillDetail/1...

Big, fat, flurries coming down. I let the cat out for his lunchtime wander and he proceeded to try to catch the snowflakes. Rofl

If you live in Delaware and are fed up with the wholesale surrender of our government and our courts to Elon Musk, here is something you can do: actionnetwork.org/letters/stop...

It's a "don't operate heavy machinery" morning. As I was preparing my cup of coffee, I was so mentally unaware that I filled my coffee cup with powdered creamer instead of coffee.

This one is so insightful on the (recent) history of Russia and Trump collusion

And lo, i declared, no one may eat anything else because the dishes must be done!

I understand why these stories exist but it’s important to be clear that he’s not “saving” 16 billion, he’s choosing, personally, without oversight, to wipe out 16 billion dollars of government services to veterans and the disabled and food safety etc etc

Tell me, friends, about something good that no one can take away from you. (This is a hard one, I know. Right now we're focusing a lot on other people's power. If you can't think of an answer, I understand. But in that case, please just read the replies for ideas and wait for next #ShellQ.)

I miss dial tones. So when a line disconnected, you could tell, and weren't just holding your phone to your ear for no reason.

Radar check in: *flooding in WV and KY *tuberculosis in KY *measles in....ummm Texas? I've lost track *bird flu mostly west coast, but smaller outbreaks everywhere *high winds have taken out trees & powerlines in PA, DE, NJ (and part of a building in Wilmington) 1/2

Alanis Morrisette's Head Over Feet comes up on Pandora, and I'm instantly transported from my windy winter day to a breezy summer day of my youth, speeding down the highway to some adventure. Life is good, as long as we have music and memories.

Good morning! It's Presidents day, a good day to protest the current one! The news doesn't seem to be covering the horrific flooding in Kentucky, please spread the word and help where you can (paper towels won't help this mess). 1/2

This makes me so scared for Calvin since this is exactly what his entire school is for. With RFKjr's changes to his anti-psychotic meds and lack of school support, the kid will need to be institutionalized. I am scared.

Antidepressants and other psych meds are profitable for pharma companies. My gut says the alarm bell we all have to be watching for is “wellness experiences” marketed by the same companies as produce these meds. That’s when you know there’s a pivot towards the RFK Jr envisioned camps.

Managed to step outside right as the sun blazed the day into being and then softened, highlighting the clouds into soft peaks and valleys.

Forgot I'd taken this photo during the last bit of weather. Just a tree in the backyard, naked in it's winter clothes, but a few specks of color reveal themselves to be birds seeking respite from the weather.

I was thinking about the movie "WarGames" (1983) today for absolutely no reason at all. Then I realized we'd have to explain to the kid why he is putting his phone handset on the computer. Then explain what a phone handset is...

The cat has emerged from the bag, I did not let the cat out of the bag, he chose to exit it himself. I swear!
