i agree a broader look at this corridor is needed! what are the city’s land use goals here? should we invest in freight infra (rail or truckway) to serve industrial users? or do we proactively plan for transition to residential TOD? what about cicero which is a terrible auto sewer right now?

riding septa today how do we get a couple two tree of these built in chicago? #buildthetunnel

agreed, even though university park is an awful location for a shoulder station (should be hazel crest). best part is that a wye could be built in champaign for a future spur to Indy.

i don’t think it is foolish to point out that high gas prices really do matter to voters. americans consume a LOT of gas with few alternatives available, and politicians of both parties have claimed since reagan that they can control the price of gas! high prices feel like a failure of leadership.

not just Canada! 😒

man the replies and QTs on this…. apparently a standard bulk discount is discrimination against single people! somebody better tell costco!

doesn’t CTA own the land under that awful shopping center by Howard? 🤔

has Urbanist Thought finally come around on one-way streets? they simplify intersections and reduce spatial need for turn lanes / you can use that efficiency to create more space for cars, but you can also use it to create bike or bus lanes!
