Wooly Bully came on at the charity shop and every Boomer in earshot mumbled the title with it. "Wooly bully. Wooly bully...." youtu.be/Pv5cXss5cPg?...

Looking at all the "Verb the Noun" metalcore bands like Escape the Fate and Bring me the Horizon has me wondering how many people Deathrock and Goth bands could disappoint by titling our songs and albums like that FLOOD THE LAND THEATERIZE THE PAIN DEATH TO BELA LUGOSI RELEASE THE BATS ... wait

I'm browsing an "antique mall" It's interesting to note that Beanie Babies and Precious Moments figurines have lost all value, but the booths of Funko garbage hold out hope of getting more than they paid. #getthatlick

Okay, a moment of home pride: DeVotchKa is from Denver. The versions they did of "Last Beat of My Heart" by Siouxsie & The Banshees and "Venus in Furs" by The Velvet Underground are better than the originals. But judge for yourself: devotchkamusic.bandcamp.com/album/curse-...

I think most who continue loving dinosaurs into adulthood are expecting to find some quirky species to be their favorite. I still like tyrannosars. Just a horrifying set of teeth and muscle that spread over the earth in all directions. One of the closest things to dragons that ever existed. So cool

Some more of the incredible skeletons made at yesterday's #OldOpOutreach family workshops. Thank you to everyone who took part.

Musicians of BlueSky, I'm trying to figure out an acoutic/electric 4-string (or course) instrument similar to guitar that would be easy to play dyads on while singing. I'm leaning towards Bouzouki, Mandocello, or Tenor Guitar. They're so niche, that I can't find any to try. Thoughts?

I learn about car parts and solutions the way most Americans learn geography. Something I previously had no knowledge of needs a new part installed to make it do what I want, probably pay a professional to get their hands dirty, and there's goddamn oil products involved all along the way.

Something I find unsettling is the certainty that someone is trying to understand the rise of fascism through astrology and fight Nazis by doodling sigils.

I don't know how many gigs @witchhands.bsky.social has missed out on because of having to explain "deathROCK is NOT death METAL."

Science lesson for the day. #corvids #goth

It's Zdzisław Beksinsky Valentine's Day

Random insight from aging: How many times are we going to cycle bellbottoms in and out of fashion?

Why are Millennials depressed and withdrawn? Our dopamine got exhausted from the XTREME RADNESS OF THE 90s.

I feel like they don't think this is as much of a baller move as I do.

Great interview with one of my favorite bands: The Doors

Being a horse himself, I think Max of @ausgang-kabuki.bsky.social should weigh in on this

At practice with @witchhands.bsky.social: "What was that Chorus you were singing on the new song? Burning books Walking in line Goose stepping On borrowed time Follow your leader! Into the bunker!! Make the world better!!! Pull the trigger!!!! "... too subtle."

I often ponder if the real reason society is often so bitter is because from a young age we are taught to fear being singled out, to fear being the outcast. I theorize that this makes people really bury their true self in favor of adopting a socially acceptable version of themselves… 1/2

All those US school children that had their gender surgically reassigned from the hours of 8am-3pm? They went to the same place all of the tens of thousands of satanic baby sacrifices in the 1980s went.

Jesus was a bastard with We / Them / I am He pronouns.

The world being a casino / advertising platform and every tech "innovation" really takes the shiny chrome off the cyborg portion of of the cyberpunk future. Those who can afford it, I'm sure will use some Google glass ai feature to turn homeless people into popup ads or voids if they're paying more.

I like the internet, because I get to ask strangers across the world unhinged things like: "Do you think William Blake would have liked the Unabomber manifesto?" Come to think of it, someone should redo it in Blake's style

"Can you turn that down?" "Is it too loud?" "No, it's just terrible."

this is essentially, what's up
