🇨🇦 Canadian 1990s Playlist 🇨🇦 Day 100 - FINALE TV channels used to “turn off” for the night. But not before the anthem played. In 1992, for Canada’s 125th, stars got together to record a new version. It’s cheesy, it’s glorious, there are new verses! And a perfect way to end the series. Oh Canada

Selling tickets on Eventbrite.ca (NOT DOT COM). To get paid out I have to fill out a US tax form for my Canadian organization. And it is the most complicated thing on Earth. What the fuck is a W-8BEN-E and why do I have to do this? I want to go back in time and cancel this. GRRRR

Drivers who don’t move to the left side of the lane at a stop light so that cars turning right can squeeze by.

This series ends tomorrow (at least for daily “rules based” posting). It was fun to reminisce. The final entry is tough to forget if you’ve ever heard it. Especially if you tended to stay up late watching TV. You likely know most of the lyrics. It will be rather cheesy. But also very Canadian.

Big booming thunder! Lightning! Dog barking. A proper thunderstorm.

Rest well, Loretta. Thank you for the memories. 🫡

I mean one more coffee can’t hurt, right?

🍁 Canadian 1990s Playlist 🍁 Day 99 / 100 Thank you for being here! This beautiful song, this clever video. This song was the beginning of my love for Canadian music. Written by the amazing Bruce Cockburn, covered by the still brand new Barenaked Ladies. Lovers in a Dangerous Time.

I have an important 3pm meeting. An IT update / restart was forced at 2:55 - supposed to take 2 minutes. I guess I’m not making this meeting. I get the need for security updates, but forcing one with no notice during business hours is certainly a choice.

Need more.

I don’t actually mind that MPPs are getting a raise. But I can’t help but feeling like some other financial adjustments are long long overdue in many other sectors that need prioritizing now. Add in minimum wage, disability payments, and social assistance increases too.

No pineapple?
