I'm pretty sure there was a blooper from Going for Gold where Henry Kelly asked "Who am I" and a French guy buzzed in and answered "......Henry Kelly?" Probably shown on Noel's Saturday Roadshow cos I've checked episodes of Aunties Bloomers looking for it!

Ok, let's do this while the network in this venue holds up. We're going to play a wee game of Spot the Benny. Usual rules apply, one of these men is the King's Oak cretin himself, the other is another RWF competitor. I will be placing both prospective Benny's in this thread.

25 years on and somehow I'm still better at the Expert course than I am the other two on Daytona 2...

So, after that F1 thing, there was a long, long call to the office. I'm going to post my notes here, as they make interesting reading I think 🧵

That was a thing. Off to the F1 Exhibition tomorrow!

As promised, a dark match from last weeks show. Just before we went live, so no commentary from our side, but a battle that I felt you should see: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RY6n...

My seat for tonight...

On a plane, watching @chinnyvision.bsky.social try to fly a plane.

At the airport and the arcade that somehow had one of Sega's rarest cabs is gone! (Not that Sega Race TV is any good)

"Meta has spent over $100 billion on VR"

A night at the Arras!

So, trying to assemble this US edit. Asked to ditch the onanism references (fine), also they suggested a local 'in joke' - Pee Wee's Secret Word of the day. Yeah, that's just going to be annoying. Vetoed. Again.

No show next week due to lack of venue. I'll be honest, it gives me a chance to do some outside work for the organisation. No spoilers on that, but it's a departure from what we normally do, but might pay off.

So Mr Blobby flew halfway around the world to beat the shit out of Noel. Because of course he did.

The eventful finale in Crinkley Bottom! www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjHs...

WHAT THE *FUCK* JUST HAPPENED?

Coming up soon, folks!

Big night on Tuesday...

NON-CANON BULLY. (I bought it anyway)

20 years ago today, rap music made it's debut on British Television. youtu.be/FGUjkvqkmQI?...

If I drink a can where the sell-by has disappeared on the bottom, that means it should be good as it no longer applies, right? RIGHT?

Currently trying to get a crew to The Great House for the rig up. Crinkley Bottom is the sort of place where you put it in your satnav and you get an "Are you really sure?" prompt. There is at least a room above the local pub, I had visions of camping in the OB van (wouldn't be the first time).

For the RWF followers, I have formally opened the doors on the @rwf-backoffice.bsky.social account. With a cast that can't cut promos, and a system that doesn't really lend itself to story retention, it's a place to do that in (to my mind) a slightly novel way.

So, following a long discussion (which I realise wasn't done in DM, oops) the Tuesday Rumble appears to now be 19:30 UK time. Card as previously stated I believe. Hopefully the line will hold up, as I think if it goes like the Hardcore tournament I may snap. Frankly, I may snap anyway at this rate.

That night, watching this on C4 = Yes! youtu.be/2uUGE_VGUAA?...

Extending the camcorder brief, Beadle's Hot Shots began its sole series of short comedy films and spoofs today in 1996 with The Bruce Forsyth Social Club's combined Speed/On The Buses, which had to be reshot for quality reasons by researcher Edgar Wright.

Someone ported Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix 2 to Windows 10 and fuck me, it's good to play it again, with a modern wheel and all. I'm still not very good mind you!

NEW VID: It's Cyberzone! The world's first Virtual Reality gameshow! And it's awful. We're looking at this as well as Broadsword's other VR shows, and Knightmare's involved too. Enjoy, please share, and Awooga! youtu.be/g8GjH1NOn_s

Popeye's famous catchphrase.

So, Antoinette loaned me her Clive James anthology. This is the relevant quote: "My Japanese game-show expertise dictated that I should participate in, guess what, a Japanese game show. It was called Takeshi’s Castle: far and away the most popular game show on Japanese television..."
