I often see this very appropriate joke being made for programmers. The thing is, it also applies to artists and designers. Especially level designers! You need to comment about your work as well. And you have to do that spatially, in 3D, in the context where you work: rystorm.com/blog/the-pow...

One thing I do not see mentioned about Social Security is how foreigners in the US also pay into that, but do not get anything out of it. So if you legally work in the US, but on a non-immigrant visa like L1-B, H1-B, you pay Social Security tax, but don't get it back, unless you work 10+ years.

That’s the Netherlands baby! 🇳🇱🌷🧀🚲 🚆

Don't forget to vote today in Germany! Please keep the right wing away, for the good of you, and all of us.

All other countries need mountains to limit visibility. Only The Netherlands has such good performance that we can make the whole country flat.

Surveys, questionnaires, and data do not make you build the right product. For example: What company probably has the most data in the world on what people do, want, and buy every day? Google. What giant product did they release that failed to find an audience? Stadia. Data will not save you.

It's so scary to see how quickly things are getting nuts in the US. As far as I can tell, only the Democrats can do something about it. But they have to actually do something. For example note the difference in these two quotes. One is long winded, the other is to the point. That matters.

In Indiana Jones and The Great Circle there is this phone number on a box. I usually never ever see this in games. It says: +66 125 3759438 +66 is the country code for Thailand. I tried calling it, but it says the number is not in use. Why is it here? What does it do?

Reality is unrealistic

6,800 employees at Zillow all work remote. We call it Cloud HQ. When companies say remote work doesn’t work for them, it says to me that their culture, communication and operations are poor. Remote will expose all the holes there.

I have given my 'Translate Gizmo Design' talk at many conferences over the years, but I never had a personal recording of it. Until now! Here it is on YouTube, for anyone to watch. How to save 3360 hours of work with the Design of a Translate Gizmo: youtu.be/b-EvdJB270o
