i've been drawing smiley's hair messier and messier because he hasn't really been combing it or washing it as much lately lol. in my mind his usual hairstyle was due to overwashing and overbrushing

Idk how much me posting on bluesky will change anything. I just know I was sitting in the call with that guy while he talked about artists he had worked with that signed predatory contracts and I was like wait this guy has invaluable experience that should be shared with other artists

I chatted with the owner of namicomi yesterday, idk how much reach I have among the webcomics scene but I wanted to share: Namicomi provides contract review on an (apparently informal) basis, for artists who otherwise wouldn't hire agents to sign their webcomic/webtoon contracts

i kinda wish it looked good to do figures with the same kinda wobbly line that you can do environments with because keeping the line nice and smooth esp on a digital tablet is exhausting lol

with traditional media if you screw up a little or are a bit inaccurate with your strokes it just looks charmingly analog and not bad at all. with digital media if you do the same thing it looks like hot doo doo. i haven't figured out how to fix this
