Gods it feels good to be back to doodlin', didn't get as much time last week so couldn't, a fair few things I've put off that I'm itching to get back to. Even been working on facial features a bit more, amp up expressiveness, solidify my eye technique, etc.

New gobberlin dropped. v: Finally got around to finishing the Tess Dragon Breath set I had planned. Been preoccupied with life stuff and things for others, so fell into my bad habit of not drawing my own things again. Remember all, attach your own oxygen mask before helping the person next to you.

Been feeling a bit odd and empty lately, somewhat aimless, but I tell you, watching CDawgVA play through FFIX made me feel again. It has always been my favourite game and I still hold it to be the best Final Fantasy game there is with such a powerful message and wonderful writing. I feel so good.

God it feels good to draw freely again, spent a good deal of this afternoon into evening doodlin' an old fixation. Long story short, I used to interact with friends character Mrs. Bartender from a Starbound RP server I used to be on. Ended up making a police version of her for funsies and it stuck.

Back into the arting after seasonal time, I took a bit longer to shake the rust off, been working on the Tess Dragon Breath followup alongside this piece. Ethyria here is the Satyr character of a player in the JannerD&D I play sundays. Despite being temporary, she's been fun to have lurking around.

Good lordy-loo that art block was a hefty sunnavabitch to break through, but I got there! Been playing Tess in a Curse of Strahd game which has helped me get some oomph to draw the gobbo wizard. I planned on having one multi-part image, but I'll split it up so I have something to post now-ish.

Was watching @bandlebro.bsky.social's stream and was talking shop artwise, ended up coming away with some of the best advice to solve my frustration when aligning facial features I possibly could have had. My work speed is so much quicker that I knocked out a quick practice Tess, the grumple bish.

I'd wanted to post something every day but with life stuff going on and sleep issues I havent been able to make anything new. I'll be slowing down a little, not stopping, just focusing a bit more on self-care and making sure those I care about are okay.

Ah screw it, I'll post both today, they're thematically relevant. Heres our naga wizard from the same game, struggling with having -legs-. Their outfit was fancy so figured knee-high heeled boots was apt, definitely not to torture her more by having her figure out how legs work while wearing heels.

I'm in a D&D game every sunday, sometimes I doodl the characters of other players from it. This time though on a whim I followed the momentum of doodling Tess to gobbofy our orcish artificer. Was an interesting challenge, and yes the gun look yank, I don't do mechanicals well. v:

I should probably start posting my art here now. I doubt I'll do a whole backlog of things I've done previously, partly because I'm happier with my current works than my previous. In this case, this is Tess, a character I've only recently been able to use in a D&D game, first time doing gobbos too.
