today (for a very short period of only a few hours) the TD app had a price error on mortgage renewals!? 2.68% for 2 years!?!? absolutely insane, this is peak rfd (iykyk) forums.redflagdeals.com/td-bank-td-m...

April (C)ools! I'm participating in #aprilcools club for the first time this year, taking a break from the technical for something a bit more philosophical: sadman.ca/posts/find-j...

that's a wrap on Ramadan, Eid Mubarak everybody 🌛

just saw somebody get hit in the face with a full cup of coffee at point blank range the subway in Toronto continues to disappoint

@bsky.app remains on top for the simple fact that I don't get #severance spoilers skyrocketing to the top of my feed

I've been on a call with AWS support engineers for 2 hours now, and honestly, those folks deserve a medal — or at least a really strong coffee.

would it be cheating on @firefox.com if I checked out @zen-browser.app? 👀

switched from Google Chrome to @firefox.com months ago and I still appreciate being able to reopen accidentally closed tabs in incognito/private mode

You can now load #goodreads data (bookshelves, user updates, & author blogs) into @astro.build content collections using the astro-loader-goodreads package! Check out how to get started here: github.com/sadmanca/ast...

No matter how early you come into work there will always be someone who comes in before you. jk i was the first person in today

Holy the custom feeds in @bsky.app blow me away every time (and I'm always finding new ones I'm interested in!) It's like someone took the idea of subreddits and baked it into Twitter (without the algorithmic feed pushing rando stuff you're just not interested in). This is the future.

I used to think that I spent faaar too much time reading (I still get surprised by my Goodreads stats sometimes: www.goodreads.com/sadmanca). Then I discovered #booksky. I have truly found my people 🧡

I need everybody to move from Twitter to Bluesky already. I love the cool stuff people make and post on Twitter but I hate what the site represents nowadays. The random GIFs that are put in my Twitter feed don't help either.

Oh my god I have just learned that the "standalone" spy thrillers by Mick Herron actually connect back to the Slough House universe. I literally just finished the latest book in the series and started reading something different. Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.

Just finished binge-reading a fun, witty spy series (Slough House). Now I've started the dystopian horror that is Tender Is the Flesh, because apparently I like my genre shifts to feel like falling down an elevator shaft.

Just published a new guide on using your Goodreads data in Astro! #astrojs + #goodreads = ❤️ Learn how to use the Content Loader API to fetch data from your Goodreads shelf RSS feeds. Some cool examples of how I use this on my site (sadman.ca) are included too! sadman.ca/posts/how-to...

✨ Tailwind CSS v4.0 is finally here! Check out tailwindcss.com/blog/tailwin... for the full list of performance improvements and added features (my personal favourite is the support for enter/exit transitions with @starting-style 🤩). @tailwindcss.com remains as awesome as always.

Does anyone know if there is an AT protocol version app similar to Instagram or anything actively being developed? #bluesky @atproto.com # - we wanna dump instagram but its nice to be able to share some photos with just friends/family, etc. #developers #atproto #atprotocol

Just finished the first episode of #Severance S2. (I was going to wait for tonight but I just couldn't wait anymore) It's amazing, we are so back.

I've been waiting for S2 of #Severance for so long that I didn't even realize the first episode aired last night. I am SO looking forward to watching it tonight.
