Calling ICE and helping them mass deport minorities YOURSELF is fucking disgusting and indefensible. Let me be clear — anyone who does has blood on their hands. Their reward money is blood money. You should not *ever* collaborate with fascists, no matter what.

You don’t feel sympathy for them bc they voted for this? Fine, whatever, feel however you want. No one can force you to have empathy for the people getting their faces eaten by leopards they voted for. That doesn’t mean you should hand the leopards a goddamn fork.

If you do so, you’re nothing but a fascist collaborator and a snitch who’s betrayed everything you claim to stand for, you utter fucking hypocrite. I have no respect for you, and you proved the leftist phrase “scratch a liberal and a fascist bleeds” to be true. Congratulations.

The US government didn’t defeat the fascists, they *are* the fascists. A lot of Americans didn’t notice before only because it wasn’t affecting them personally and wasn’t quite as in your face.

When it comes to the Nazis? We didn’t. We joined in late, took most of the credit, and then gave high level jobs to a bunch of war criminal Nazi scientists through Project Paperclip.
When it comes to other fascist dictatorships in Latin America — the CIA installed and funded them themselves.

I don’t know why there’s a tiny, winged man shoving a trumpet up his 🍑 in it, but I’m glad he’s there. He’s an icon.

Your son was literally a socialist who advocated for radical wealth redistribution and chased merchants and money changers out of a temple with a whip. Personally, I think that’s based af, but by the US government’s shitty standards, he’d be called a radical left wing extremist.

This is one of the many reasons I think you’d enjoy Midnight Mass, it’s a thriller/horror miniseries on Netflix created by Mike Flanagan, and leans more into the OG scary vampire mythology, as well as being an accurate depiction of Christian fanaticism. It’s kinda his masterpiece.

That’s how we know the US isn’t truly a democracy, it’s a corporatocracy. Corporate lobbying (legal bribery) has infinitely more influence over our political system than the wishes of voters. Incidentally, Amy here accepted nearly $200,000 from UnitedHealth Group.

Nothing less than universal healthcare is remotely acceptable, and y’all know it. Every year those in power avoid the issue to appease the private insurance cartel, the fiery rage in the populace at the needless deaths and financial ruin of their loved ones grows deeper.

More often than not, all it does is fuel even more anger and resentment towards those in power. It reveals your rights and your life do not matter to them when push comes to shove, that the law is only there to protect the powerful, and doesn’t lift a finger to protect the vulnerable.

How about we agree that torture is horrifically unethical regardless of which state engages in it? Every single government that tortures people deserves to be stripped of all power. Every. Damn. One.

I feel like if we can acknowledge that someone can be too young to be in office, someone can also be too old to be in office.

What made season 1 compelling (Tanjiro’s radical empathy and the emotional complexity of the demons) seems to all but vanish from later seasons until it’s become a bog-standard battle anime with little to distinguish it.

Many species aside from humans are capable of deep empathy and compassion, we as humans just like to assume we’re more special than we are in that regard
