Hence my frequent posting about gardening and baked goods. Maybe I'll share a little art, who knows.

Oh, is it Dildo Iceburg Day already?

I've had many failures in the garden this spring, but the humble potatoes, las papas, les pommes de terre, are rewarding my efforts with these little blossoms of validation.

The term vivipary, derived from Latin, means "live birth" and refers to plants that begin growing while still attached to the mother plant. These tomatoes want to live, so I guess I'll pop 'em in the garden and let them. 🤷‍♂️

"Framing her as a “sex worker” is roughly analogous to describing Jesus Christ as an amateur sommelier: It’s not incorrect, technically, but it’s not close to right, either." 👨‍🍳🤌 ballsandstrikes.org/scotus/pride...

...I've got two roosters who don't give a shit what season it is, they will stand under your bedroom window to announce 4am any day of the year. They also let you know if anyone flicks on a bathroom light at any time during the night. Like fluffy little yard klaxons.

Citizens’ Impeachment has long held that if just 5% of Americans contacted their members of Congress about impeachment, it would be the largest collective action of its kind in American history. It would almost certainly lead to his removal from office. Advocate for impeachment in five minutes:

I'm a week late, but I finally made my Easter cake! It isn't proper tradition if it doesn't look a little derpy. 😏

...and then, I wake up feeling like a day-old cadaver that tumbled down a mountain slope.

The morning news may be discouraging, but the strawberries are ripe. Strawberry shortcake with minty whipped cream is today's little refuge of joy.

Hey, @reptedlieu.bsky.social , this you? Because there's only one obvious answer to this question, and it isn't "no comment". Do. Better. 🤨

Good morning. I've been a public radio reporter since 1986. There has never *ever* been a more important year to support your local public radio station. If you care about public radio, get off your ass. Act. Give now. This is how you share in the hard, crucial work we do. 🙏💪

👀

Make that 10! From Bellows Falls, VT: Constituent: "Do you support the concept of impeachment?" @balint.house.gov: "Oh, my gosh, this is the most corrupt president we've ever had! Absolutely!" *tons of applause for the congresswoman supporting the #citizensimpeachment *

My latest at @msnbc.com: "Every member of Congress, like the nation as a whole, faces a binary choice: It’s Trump or the Constitution. We can have one or the other but not both."

*reads this for motivation to get to work the vegetable garden*

I don't bother to associate with anyone who doesn't.

Today marks the 100th anniversary of the publication of “The Great Gatsby” I’m all for celebrating with a jazz-age soirée, but given the current moment, let’s also honor F Scott Fitzgerald’s work by thinking about how unregulated wealth, casual racism & convenient fatalism color the American dream.

They were careless people, Tom and Daisy- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made. -FS Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby, published 4/10/1925.

I thought they already had a name for their party of weak and stupid people?

I am going to share this in everyone's face. www.citizensimpeachment.com

How did she know? Gosh, it's almost as if she had access to a 922-page document detailing the Trump team's plan to dismantle democracy. substack.com/@kamalarocks...

Yup. That's the mood. 🎯
