I see the Starmtroopers are out and about saying that WFA wasn't scrapped it was subjected to means testing, which they consider to be the right thing to do for benefits. What's next? Child benefit or the state pension? (Look it up it is a welfare benefit)

Why does Starmer's Labour Party seem determined to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory? Because it hates the left more than it fears the far right. As a result it won't do the "left" things so many of its potential supporters are crying out for.

If Starmer isn't spending this weekend helping McSweeney write a new CV, I think that it can't be long before he will be doing his. A Labour government has to challenge populism, not ape it. It should take on the right wing press, not pander to it. It should support the less well off, not the rich.
