Some news: my time with ClutchPoints and the Sixers beat has ended. It's a decision I made myself but not one I make easily. I'm gonna miss it. Covering this team the past 3 years included some wild ups and downs. It's given me friendships and amazing memories for a lifetime.

I mean there’s just no one like Steph Curry

Quinten Post more like Quinten Three-Pointer please clap

Warriors pummeled the Grizzlies for over half the quarter and the Grizz punched back to only trail by 2 possessions by the end of it. Only getting started 🍿

Going through my camera roll…simpler times

Today you celebrate but every other day you stay friendly with a presidential administration that’s trying to erase his legacy

HVL and Angel together again!

Trump asking a foreign leader to build more prisons so he can include American-born citizens in his deportations, calling an innocent man who was wrongly deported a criminal and dodging a Supreme Court order to bring him back…

I think those Jubilee videos do more harm than good by platforming some dangerous and outrageous opinions (and even good debates or talking points most likely don’t really change anyone’s mind) That said……I really do wanna watch the Skip Bayless episode they just did

This Morey quote is really sticking with me “Are we somewhat indexed to talented players who are a little bit more injured? Yes. But that's why we need to have a younger, deeper roster around them...” This should have been the theme last summer!! We all knew PG and Embiid were major injury risks!!

Daryl Morey said there’s “a good chance we’ll take someone” if they keep their 1st rounder and that they’ll pick the best player available. But he also reiterated that the pick is “a tool to upgrade the team” (i.e. they could use it in a trade)

Daryl Morey said the poor results in the games Embiid, Maxey and PG played together (7-8 record, -0.9 net rating per CTG) was mostly because of injuries. Mentioned how they didn’t finish multiple games and some others included a first game back from injury

Asked for his thoughts on this and what the right supporting cast looks like, Nick Nurse said the game keeps getting faster and that the Sixers need to be bigger, longer and more athletic

Asked about Joel Embiid’s extension, Daryl Morey said the Sixers landed Paul George mostly because he wanted to play with Embiid, so having him signed long-term was important as well

Daryl Morey said this Sixers season was the toughest of his career and that he’s going to spend “every waking hour” trying to improve the team

Daryl Morey said Quentin Grimes was a real bright spot and a good fit alongside the Sixers’ stars. “We’re excited for him to come back.”

Nick Nurse said Quentin Grimes was a real bright spot and a good fit alongside the Sixers’ stars. “We’re excited for him to come back.”

Daryl Morey confirmed he and Nick Nurse will be back next season

Daryl Morey said he’s looking for the Sixers to be younger and more dynamic next season. Said the same thing following the trade deadline

Daryl Morey: “Tough season. Not where we expected to be.” Said he knows the Sixers let fans down + that missing 134 games from their All-Stars due to injury really set them back. Added that he feels good about the Embiid-Maxey-PG trio and he has to build a better supporting cast

Jared Butler said the Sixers fan base is “an interesting one.” “Getting booed 2 games into it, this is different.” Gave his time with Philly a B+/A- grade and said he could see himself sticking around for the future

Jeff Dowtin Jr said the Sixers always stuck together throughout the hardships they faced this season. Said it felt like a brotherhood and a family

Justin Edwards said the compliments he’s gotten from Tyrese Maxey and Paul George mean a lot to him. Said PG, who he models his game after, vouched for him to get playing time in certain spots early on

Adem Bona said Jared McCain is “an easy guy to bond with on and off the court.” He thinks their respective games mesh well together

Adem Bona repping the Phils after the Sixers’ season finale

Lonnie Walker IV said he’s “truly grateful” for the opportunity the Sixers gave him his season. Said the team is a playoff-caliber squad with the talent it has and that there’s “nothing like being close to home.”

Quentin Grimes said he can “definitely” see himself with the Sixers long-term and that he already feels comfortable with the organization and his coaches and teammates

Guerschon Yabusele said he hasn’t thought much about his free agency yet but did note how much he appreciates the Sixers for giving him the chance to return to the NBA. Said he expects there to be talks about a return to Philly

Guerschon Yabusele said he enjoyed being around his teammates and coaches every day despite the disappointing results from this season. Said he got better at “pretty much everything” on the court.

Jared McCain said fellow rookies Adem Bona and Justin Edwards have done “an amazing job in their growth this year.” Said they’re all excited to play together going forward

Jared McCain says he’s now jumping with no pain. Plan for the summer is just to get healthy so he can get back to work. Says he can’t wait to be able to just run up and down the court.

Jared McCain said talking with Tyrese Maxey and Kyle Lowry on the bench and watching Jared Butler in pick-and-rolls has helped him learn as he watched games from the sideline
