This is the most important research that I have ever done. Paul George was playing better this season after dropping podcasts. Save Podcast P!

Eric Gordon update from the Sixers: “Eric Gordon underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his right wrist yesterday. He will be re-evaluated in approximately three months and updates on his status will be provided as appropriate.”

Paul George on pausing Podcast P to focus more on the Sixers' playoff push: “The full focus is trying to get this team together. We gotta give ourselves a chance, taking it one game at a time. But we gotta give ourselves a chance to see what we can do down the stretch.”

Kelly Oubre Jr: “I just didn’t feel like anybody could guard me out there, respectfully…I’m gonna play defense as hard as I possibly can but when I can put that force on the offensive end as well, I think that that’s who I am as a basketball player: a two-way player.”

Tyrese Maxey on his right finger injury (which still had a wrap on it in the locker room): “It hurts but I’ll be fine.” Said it’s harder to pound dribble and shoot the ball but that he’s not looking to make any excuses

Podcastless P vs the Knicks: 25 points 8 rebounds 7 assists 4 steals 9-20 FG shooting Heck of an effort from Paul George and Tyrese Maxey in the 2nd half but Jalen Brunson dominated in the clutch. Sixers extend their losing streak to 9 with a 110-105 final score

10-2 Sixers run makes it a 1-point game...oh boy

Sixers have outscored the Knicks since their brutal 1st quarter. They only trail by nine heading into the 4th after Maxey and PG combine for 22 of Philly's 29 points in the 3rd quarter

Sixers trail Knicks 61-45 at half -Oubre backing up Thibs' compliment from earlier. Tied w/ Bridges for most points at 19 -PG and Maxey shooting a combined 6-24. PG does have 6 boards + 5 assists but still -Game is closer than it feels but Sixers need more than this Oubre heater

Josh Hart got a free run to the paint bc no one was on the same side of the court as him and Oubre picked up his 2nd foul as a result. Nice going

Kelly Oubre Jr: 6-7 FG shooting The rest of the Sixers: 6-26 FG shooting Knicks lead Sixers 44-28 w/ 7:05 left in the 1st half

Grimes-Lonnie-Oubre-Edwards-Drummond lineup. What the hell, sure

Mikal Bridges is on one right now. 14 points on 6-6 shooting + doing a good job defending Maxey

Starting lineups Sixers: Tyrese Maxey Quentin Grimes Kelly Oubre Jr Paul George Andre Drummond Knicks: Jalen Brunson Josh Hart Mikal Bridges OG Anunoby Ariel Hukporti

History in The Garden tonight.

Quentin Grimes and Justin Edwards are available to play, per Sixers official. Both were listed as probable

Nick Nurse said the process of implementing the Sixers’ newcomers has been “sporadic and erratic.” I like to think him saying that at MSG is an inadvertent nod to the NBA’s greatest rhymer, Walt Frazier

Justin Edwards will have a minute restriction of somewhere in the mid 20s if he returns tonight, per Nick Nurse

Nick Nurse said he expects updates on Joel Embiid and Eric Gordon in the coming days. Yesterday, Embiid underwent more testing on his knee and Gordon underwent wrist surgery

Some praise of Sixers players from Tom Thibodeau: Oubre: “one of the most underrated players in the league” Drummond: “always been a dominant force when he’s starting games” Bona: “very athletic, runs the floor extremely well” Noted Maxey, PG, Grimes as players to watch for

Tom Thibodeau on Quentin Grimes: “Great person, hard worker, strong on both sides of the ball. He’s a terrific player.”

Karl-Anthony Towns is a gametime decision, per Tom Thibodeau

Not sure I’ve seen this before: David Roddy doing a defense drill in pregame warmups. Got reps in guarding on the wing, too

Went to a Palestinian restaurant for lunch today and it did not disappoint in the slightest. Absolutely incredible, some of the best food I’ve ever had 📍Ayat

Quentin Grimes on Tom Thibodeau's heavy minutes: “It definitely takes a toll on you but you're not complaining 'cause you know that he trusts you to go out there and play those minutes.” More on Grimes' development under Thibs and Kelvin Sampson: clutchpoints.com/nba/philadel...

Asked Quentin Grimes about screen navigation. “You gotta just get skinny up on the screen. Don't get hit on it. Try to make your body as slim as possible.” He remembers practicing it as a rookie w/ the Knicks, guarding 20 straight possessions w/ player development coaches

Sixers shootaround is underway at MSG. First time I’ve seen Jared McCain in practice clothes since his injury

Homie, you can’t just approach me Me and my brother brought the toughness to New York, Mason and Oakley

Sixers' injury report for tomorrow against NYK: Embiid, Gordon, Lowry, McCain still out. Guerschon Yabusele is out w/a "right eye abrasion" listing. Justin Edwards (left ankle sprain) and Quentin Grimes (right knee soreness) are probable.

Eric Gordon will undergo surgery on his right wrist tomorrow, per Sixers official

Paul George on a potential Sixers playoff push: “We've shown no sign of a team that will compete. We just don't have the habits [that] a champion or a playoff-contending team would have. So, to be honest, right now, it's a little far-fetched.”

Tyrese Maxey: “That was, we all know, unacceptable — all of us, tonight.”

Nick Nurse: “The overall vibe was really poor from the start.”

[mysterious old lady flips tarot card revealing a basketball team that wears red white and blue crapping their pants and shooting the ball into their own teammates’ heads] Me: is that good

Guerschon Yabusele (contact to both eyes) and Quentin Grimes (right knee soreness) will not return, per Sixers official

The Bulls have cracked 100 points. There are 4 minutes of game time left. The Sixers are almost at 70

Drummond air-balls a push shot, Huerter drains another 3 to put the Bulls up by 28, Sixers take timeout, fans boo

Sixers trail Bulls 75-58 at half -Not having Embiid has really exposed how putrid Philly's perimeter defense is. Bulls are either waltzing into the paint or getting FTs. 16-24 shooting in the paint -PG playing like he gives a shit. 16 points, 5 stocks. Too bad it doesn’t matter

This was just as bad, if not worse, than Council traveling on a 2-on-1 break

Sixers have 4 points and 4 turnovers so far this 2nd quarter

Nurse calls timeout after a 9-0 Bulls run. They now lead the Sixers by 16
