So, per the USMC being deployed to LA… they were deployed during the Rodney King riots, but some important things have since changed that makes this deployment different and illegal. 18 U.S.C. § 1385 was updated in 2021 and now includes the USMC (it didn’t previously). It was legal in 1992, not now.
