Okay, yeah, so maybe I just learned you can make quote images on Kindle. But when you see a good quote, you’ll find a way to share it.

INSANE!!!!! LOOK HOW MICHIGAN STATE JUST BEAT MARYLAND 💥💥💥💥💥

I think Marvel should be moving more in this direction on streaming. It’s hard to get engagement on a 6-12 episode show, but people will watch a 1-2 hour that can transition into the films if they’d like.

I have so many games to finish (Avowed, Indy, Dragon Age) but I got sucked back into the world of achievement hunting in Halo MCC. I have 365/700. Not sure how long this burst will last but I’d like to get to 400 at least. I have a lot of par scores to get.

Dreams do come true. This movie is going to clean up, clean up in every theater, everywhere.

If you watch Party Girl one time, you’ll love Parker Posey forever.

When I was a kid, there were two VHS covers at the rental store that were the most rad. Dick Tracy and Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue.

My wild theory about Fantastic Four: First Steps is that they made it look like they edited out Mr Fantastics power, but the truth is that they changed his power entirely to something different than stretching. Stretching looks like shit in film and I think they realized this.

Meta illegaly downloaded 80+ terabytes of books from LibGen, Anna's Archive, and Z-library to train their AI models. In 2010, Aaron Swartz downloaded only 70 GBs of articles from JSTOR (0.0875% of Meta). Faced $1 million in fine and 35 years in jail. Took his own life in 2013.

My Sundance weekend is over. Plainclothes was the real winner of the four films I watched. Ricky was great was well. Bunnylovr was too jam packed with ideas, but it was a fine watch. By Design was not for me at all.

Adam Scott in Severance kind of looks like Billy from Saw

We are somehow living through the worst attack on the federal administrative state in my lifetime AND ALSO the worst information environment to ever exist in my lifetime. (I know it’s not a coincidence btw, just saying.) True thoughts from Ryan Broderick’s Garage Day newsletter here.

Video games used to be called Cute Mammal and a Robot: Ass Crack, and that was clearly better

Starting tomorrow, you’re going to hear of a nostalgic show’s cast getting together to film. Don’t get excited. It’s just for a Super Bowl commercial. Also, if a celeb makes a tweet, same thing. Just Super Bowl shenanigans.

I read Marvel’s new Ultimate openers Invasion and Universe tonight. I liked them enough to start into Ultimate Spider-Man 2024 and I think that series is great so far. I’ve read the first 3 and it seems to be starting off well. Once I catch up, I’ll try the BP and X-Men series they have.

The first three letters of "hot dog" and "Dog Day Afternoon" spell out "hot dog". The remaining letters spell out "Dog Day Afternoon".

Most of these could be on a list of Best Picture nominees many other years. 2024 was a great year for film. My top three of the year are on here: I Saw The TV Glow, Challengers, and Ghostlight

The Substance has been nominated for Best Picture which is great for a lot of reasons but also now my normie brother who always watches every best pic nomination has to watch it and the joy that gives me is immense

That "Challengers" snub in Score, I'll never get over it.

I’m sad that Challengers got blanked, but happy for Coralie Fargeat and The Substance noms. I liked Emilia Perez fine, but it leading the Oscar noms is nutty.

#Oscars  Nominations — Best Picture: • Anora • Wicked • Conclave • Emilia Perez • Dune: Part 2 • The Brutalist • The Substance • A Complete Unknown • I’m Still Here • Nickel Boys See the full nominees list: bit.ly/OscarsNoms25

I would love to see a @artbutmakeitsports.bsky.social but with comic book covers.

This is ridiculous. Dan O’ Donnell, CBS 58, cowards, all of you.

Wolf Man thoughts: Clearly a lot of work was put into the sound of the film and they basically nailed it. I loved the panning of the camera when they start to not be able to understand each other and it switches perspective sonically and visually. Pretty uninteresting script though. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

“Bro, it was a Roman salute”

Continuing my Claremont X-Men run updates: I am abandoning New Mutants after finishing the Legion arc only because so many new series are coming up. It went from a 2.5 star comic to a 4 star when Bill Sienkiewicz came on so I’m happy I saw some of that. On to Nightcrawler and Secret Wars II.

Oh wow, they brought back 2020 doomscrolling. They’ll remake anything these days.

Carrie Coon should be the only Oscar voter. Let her decide everything.

How can I not go to the Sailor Moon Stage Musical?

David Lynch, no. You will live forever in the dreamiest worlds that you created.

Was selecting my films for the upcoming Sundance Film Festival, and this is by far the best description I've read. I'm positive people would also prefer me as a chair.

Tomorrow we can buy tickets to Sundance Online. What’s everyone getting? I’m thinking: By Design Atropia Plainclothes Bunnylovr I might swap one for a documentary. Maybe Speak?

I rarely do a double feature in the theater, but I had to see Luca Guadagnino’s Queer in limited run and then I’m following it up with Interstellar at the best IMAX theater in the PNW.

100% Astro Bot today. Probably my game of the year. It’s between this and UFO 50.
