Blast from the past. Noise + good advice. Some people seem to think pouring gasoline on a raging fire is the way to put it out. You don't get rid of what you hate by becoming it yourself. #Resolve #music #noise #advice youtu.be/skNbS40KK0w?...

Haven't followed anyone yet on here (other than bsky admin). Still looking it over & deciding. Might not follow anyone. You're welcome to follow me or not; I don't care either way. But if you do, don't be a jerk. I don't like jerks.

2025 will go down as the first year in history I actually DID IT!! I managed to get through winter without finding out (accidentally of course) who won the Stupor Bowl. Please do NOT alter this outcome for me. It's a genuine milestone. Been trying to achieve this for decades.

Mummy? Mummy? Wake up, Mummy! On this day in 1924:

If you really want to become ungovernable, you should become a shibboleth breaker. Refuse this above all else (not dogs, silly; the concept)

A user of the anti-blinding-headlight advocacy group at reddit.com/r/fuckyourheadlights tested headlight brightness on multiple vehicles in order to figure out what's going on with regulations and adherence to them. Here's a 4-part infographic with key findings:

Unpopular opinion: it's not stupidity so much as lack of trust. Trust must be earned. It cannot simply be demanded. You don't earn trust by calling people stupid or paranoid for not trusting you. You earn it by becoming trustworthy.

Saw a better (clearer image) version of this on here the other day but don't recall where. Anyway, I rather like this idea. Cuts through a lot of b/s.

“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

I've never understood this particular bit of rhetoric. If Russia was once the USSR, and thus communist, and people are saying the USA is in danger of going fascist, how do these two things square together? If Russia had conquered half the USA then the USA would be more communist, right? 🤷

You can't. It's always darkest just before the dawn.

I've seen this guy in my bathroom tiles before.

#Take🤍 The vast majority of politicians, motivated by a certain vanity, keep far removed from any truly weighty plans for the future, in order that they may retain the momentary sympathies of the clamoring mob. Their significance resides exclusively in the present and does not persist to posterity.

This is good news. I can't stand those turdballs. Andrew in particular is exceptionally odious, a blight upon the world, especially in an era when so many young lads are feeling uncertain about the future, don't have solid role models, and get lured by malicious pied pipers like him.

I've been vehemently opposed to double standards and hypocrisy for as long as I've been conscious of them, even before I had words to articulate how I felt. Don't be surprised if I'm opposed to yours, too. Especially if I spot it and you cannot. It's nothing personal. It's what I do.

You probably don't know it, but this year is 1929. Keep watching the skies, Traveller.

I'm working on making English my second language. But not for the reasons you might think.

I think if you're opposed to witchhunts you shouldn't go witchhunting. One-way street thinking is hypocritical. "Zero tolerance for [insert group]" because [said group] witchhunts others ... yet that makes witchhunting [said group] acceptable? #Hypocrisy

I think if you're opposed to violence you shouldn't resort to it. One-way street thinking is hypocritical. "Zero tolerance for [insert group]" because [said group] is violent ... yet that makes violence against [said group] acceptable? #Hypocrisy

I'm not from around here.
