Do you think audiobooks are reading? If you say no you need to consider that oral books are the earliest form of story telling, all sitting around a fire telling stories. Dickens serialised novels were read round the fireplace a father to his family.πŸ’™πŸ“š

Edith married the widowed Wilson in 1915, during his first term in office. She was First Lady of the United States until 1921. πŸ—ƒοΈ www.murdermayhem.uk/p/edith-wils...

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book last weekend from a talented debut author. Pre-order it today.

Whoever thinks banning books is a good idea has never met a teenager. The one thing that will make them do something is being told they can't.

One of the parts I find the most difficult with writing is cutting those beautiful passages I took ages to write. Kill your darlings πŸ˜‚ To get over this I have created a snippets folder to paste these into. They might not be right for the current article but who is to say they will never be useful.

How cute are these two together?

The reason I write is so people read my work. Which is why it made no sense for me to hide everything behind a paywall. So I’m mixing it up. www.samharnold.com/p/changing-i...

This is a brilliant story which is truly horrific in places. I do however wonder if she could do with an editors who isn’t afraid to tell her to cut words out. Having said that I can’t wait to read the last instalment and the good far out weighs the bad. πŸ’™πŸ“š

My favourite read this month, by a long margin is The House in the Cerulean Sea. Honorary mention to Tarnished that was my first five star read of 2025. πŸ’™πŸ“š

The American army was outgunned and outmanned, a fact Washington knew. He decided the only way to win the war was to set up a spy ring to gather information on the enemy. He hired some very interesting recruits including Agent 355, believed to be a woman. πŸ—ƒοΈ www.murdermayhem.uk/p/the-woman-...

I’m sorry the whole idea of my journal is it’s the only thing in my life that doesn’t answer back.

I’m not sure who loved this book more my daughter who I read it to or me. What a beautiful addictive adventure, a must for all book lovers. Can’t wait to read more from this series. #Books πŸ’™πŸ“š

How did a book about one man's life that nothing really happens in become so addictive and engaging. The simple answer is the beautiful writing the delicate prose and the simply wonderful story. William Stoner breaks my heart on so many levels. This is an absolute classic for a reason. πŸ’™πŸ“š #books

Thought I would share my favourite poem with you today.

One of the most overlooked aspects of a routine is the opportunity to reflection & goal set. Taking a few moments to contemplate your priorities and set intentions can be transformative. It aligns your actions with your values, ensuring that you spend your time on what truly matters to you.

Finished Project Hail Mary today wow what a book. Am a little concerned about the film being made mainly because I think Hollywood will focus on the twist rather than the real ending and I bet they try to humanise Rocky. What do you think? #books πŸ’™πŸ“š #amreading
