For me, it's loads of ambient/experimental music. We're talking Godspeed! You Black Emperor, black midi, Brian Eno, Collin Stenson, Esmerine, Aphex Twin etc. Might throw in some Mars Volta if I feel like going on a chaotic writing spree.

Brushing up on my Bengali because I'd love to be able to write horror in my first language as well. I've written in other genres in Bengali when I was younger, mostly with Kafkaesque leanings, but my culture has so much terrifying folklore to explore.
