Everyone is talking about tariffs. No one is talking about how Elon Musk and his cronies have control the personal information, including medical records and SSNs, of 340 million people. No one is talking about Utah making collective bargaining illegal,

The Board is democratically elected. This seems completely related because the police threw a tantrum. The province has no right to require police be in school, especially with all the negatives that result from police in school as identified by many many sources. #bcpoli #bced

Cybebullying may impact students, but it is not an education issue the same way physical bullying is. It is more of an issue about the inability of children to unplug and the fact that we allow cyberbullies(like certain politicians) to get away with it.

With cyberbullying on the rise, what can we do to support our students? Join me and Director of Technology Eva Harvell as we consider this and other critical questions. youtu.be/y4VVk638OUg

Ken Sim's idea that we should invest and develop a bitcoin reserve is insane. We should instead invest and build a reserve of Alpha and Beta Magic: The Gathering cards as they show considerably less market volatility.

When Trudeau and Singh step down and let someone who isn't tainted by the last decade of failure come around.

Land is becoming an unfortunate point in conversations about education. BC's urban centres are so light in land facing the demand for housing, amenities, education, industrial, and commercial spaces. we need to up our urban planning game for the sake of cities and 20th century sprawl is not it.

I know this is a student safety thing, but it could very easily be a teacher or staff having a cardiac event. there is no reason to not have an AED on a site with a good amount of people and it feels like this is a health and safety grievance waiting to happen.

all the talk of dystopian novels, usually around 1984, Brave New World, and The Handmaid's Tale, seem to ignore what is evidently becoming the most prophetic of all 20th century dystopian in Vonnegut's Player Piano.

Today we welcome another school into ours because the district decided that paying for an alt-ed space wasn’t a good use of funds. Alt-ed spaces are important and must be accessible. Districts and the ministry must do better to advocate for these spaces.

As a VSB graduate and Vancouver citizen this is sickening. Jennifer is an absolute gem of a human and it is shame that her reasonable ideas are being ignored. #savethevsb

It is the community of educators.

Besides, "the kids", the best part of teaching/education/school is ______________________________________ #edusky

I disagree with this take. Inclusive education makes too many assumptions about all students and the plan for inclusion needs to be individualised. There are students who simply cannot function without 1 on 1 support from EAs. The discourse on inclusion needs to change.

There's an interesting post on reddit(grain of salt) about people losing jobs to AI. It makes us wonder if we are asking for the wrong type of regulations on AI. Maybe it isn't controls on what it can do, rather controls on how it is used that are needed.
