Just delt with about 10gs in credit card fraud going back two years. Check your statements people. Fraudulent transactions can be interwoven with real ones with the the same merchants. Also very slow ramp up. Quite sneaky

I'm doing codecrafters.io over the break. Its pretty fun, they handle all the build and test scaffolding and add the UX rewards passing tests like in a game. Currently halfway through the build a grep exercise

From people that I know that have worked at Twitter, it seemed bots were a necessary evil to order to boost engagement and show metrics (I worked at a social media co before, fake engagement can boost real engagement) But if Bluesky is not ads driven long term we might see a healthier discourse

I wonder if part of the shift towards senior+ is that it’s now harder to train junior engineers Unless superstar, they need a lot more attention and a degree of micromanagement. Also sometimes come with unrealistic expectations of work, support, or their own abilities. Easier to manage in person
