Black History: MOVE bombing On May 13, 1985, Philly police attempted to evict members of MOVE, a Black liberation org. They were shot at. In retaliation, police dropped 2 bombs on the house, then allowed the fire to burn out of control. 61 homes were destroyed and 5 children were killed.
