"How does one go / about dying?" —Franz Wright #poem #poetry #poetrysky

Sometimes I’m reminded of how insignificant I am ever adrift in the current of human history thousand years thousand years thousand years have passed have passed have passed pass pass pass Mere droplet on an ever flowing river I feel so vast and empty And I don’t know what to do with my life

“Your hand in my hand, still warm, still warm.” Simple joy of companionship; this which moves mountains and keeps in place our beating heart. Also coming to my mind is the finale of Milton’s Paradise Lost; it is in this manner that Adam and Eve ‘through Eden, took their solitary way’.

I love this so much.

🤍🤍🤍

เห็นข่าว Pope Francis แล้วก็ เออไหนดูซิว่า Bible quote of the day ในแอพว่าไงบ้าง “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬ O Dear Lord. Vivat papam.

“For one species to moan the dearh of another is a new thing under the sun.”

Thank you @oikawapng.bsky.social for being an amazing source of inspiration! #iwaoi #doodle

And yes this is one of those powerful first liners (Do we have poemsky here or)

So my first (finished) book of 2025 is a 50ish-paged French children’s book: David and the Witch’s House (surprisingly, also an easy 5-star). So THIS is how it’s gonna be.

A dream, again. A cut on the back of my hand. And you cared for it. A scratch on my thumb, too. Some mystical green herbs you applied which could ward off evil.

🐟 Cod shrinking from centuries of fishing A new study reconstructs 1100 years of Atlantic cod fishing. Viking-era cod were 25% larger & lived 3x longer than today. Overfishing drove size & age declines - not climate. 🔗 www.science.org/doi/10.1126/... 🧪 #Ecology #Fish #SciComm

‘Tis but a sad confession, but this year so far I haven’t finished a book. The Sand County Almanac proves rather a difficult read, especially for a non-American LIKE ME
