One wonders when the USA/World will realise that the USA is headed for (or already at) a dictatorship? The checks and balances that should have been applied before T's relection were not and have been further eroded. T 2028 is not possible* and yet. T or his team have learned from history

Might be branching out next year into IGSCEs Business studies and English as an additional language. Any experts especially Business, I should be following?

shop.hopeandplay.org 2025 calenders now half price. In previous years, the money has helped to pay for a diverse range of help for Palestinian children from back to school gear to trauma support. Needed now more than ever.

A follow on from @xris32.bsky.social games post . Any suggestions for y8/9 students basic / intermediate level English. Not aware of cultural references. Cheap and not too many parts ( I don't have my own classroom so the less fiddly and smaller size the better. Have bought selection of Top Trumps

I hope this term is less exhausting than the last. I need also to remember that the kids are in school from 08H to 17H20 and I am not. They might have youth on their side, but I'm not sure my younger me would have coped well keeping those school hours. Hope everyone had a smooth week .

youtu.be/o52frxSBt-I?... One of those times ( I have other examples ) when I wonder if the audience actually knew what they were listening to.

www.prendreparti.com/2020/09/14/h... Going to try and weave this into my history lessons in 2025. I have driven past it so often. Need to head to the archives...

This cheap gadget from Amazon has served me well over the holidays. Perfect at crushing ice cubes into snow for my margaritas.

Had my first games console at the age of well too old. But struggling to find the 'desired difficulty' . Got a game suitable for a 7 year old but the language from my corner is x rated.

I have tried to start my beginners crotchet kit today, with no joy thanks to this little madam. Hoping if I don't move my feet for the next hour or rustle anything that could be mistaken for food, I might get started.

This will be one for the Summer Holidays, which seems a long way off.

It’s been a long time coming… so thrilled to share the cover (and Oxford UP website last in 🧵) for my book, _Lineage: Genealogy and the Power of Connection in Early America_, pub date 7.2.25 (but will ship, so they say very enticingly, mid-June. 1/ #VastEarlyAmerica 🗃️

It’s time for THE charger. Today, the USB-C becomes officially the common standard for charging new mobile electronic devices in the EU. It means better-charging technology, reduced e-waste, and less fuss to find the chargers you need! #DigitalEU

Olivia Hussey, in my opinion the greatest Juliet ever committed to screen has left us. What a huge loss, Leonard Whiting was a wonderful foil but she owned the film, and directed by Franco Zeffirelli, Nino Rota's music, under love's heavy burden do I sink... www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAkE...

Forgot how much "adult"children eat. No matter what time they get up, mum must oblige with 3 meals and goûter. Yeah, I am loving it!

Gala pork pie. First time I have made it. Gelatine added. Now chilling in fridge. More of a British style Christmas than I can remember for a long time. Tradition for us is breaking with tradition.

Slow cooker Christmas Pud done, looks ok I think. Tomorrow, going to have a go at home made pork pie, then airfyer stollen bites. Nice to have the time, energy and inclination to make non essential food!

Tried the BBC recipe for slow cooker Christmas pud. Smells good ( though I'm not a fan of that type of pud) and was very simple to do. The bowl only just fits in my large slowcooker, so if I ever make it again, will make smaller ones. Another 6 hours and it should be done.

Well done all you teachers that lasted the course and finished today. I fell at the last fence on tuesday, but antibiotics and sleep are working wonders. After all these years, I still feel guilty when I am off, but sometimes you have to listen to your body.

Starlings are my absolutely favourite birds. We get lots of murmurs in Brest, but tonight driving home, it was spectacular. I stopped the car and just watched. Amazing fabulous end to a hard week. We don't have the vision to see how they view each other. They look ordinary but they really are not.
