I knit this child's sweater with the statistic "only 4% of all mammals on Earth are wild". All those cute animals on children's clothing misrepresent the biodiversity of wildlife left on their planet. It's not cute. 🧶

Last week, Barbastelle Conservation Officer Cathy was out with @NRW’s Land Management team, setting up passive bat detectors around St David’s — Wales’ smallest city. We’re excited to learn more about the winter activity of some of the area’s rarer bat species — hopefully including barbastelles!

Spring is almost here, with longer days and lighter evenings, this is what our properties will be looking like in just 6 weeks' time! ⏱️ We will certainly be on #BlossomWatch, will you? 🌸

I have just (finally) submitted my application for a masters degree. Fingers crossed! 🦇

Working on my bus socks #ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 Trying to finish by the end of the month so I can give myself permission to buy some of the @ballyhourafibres.bsky.social Connemara run

We hope those of you enjoying #ValentinesDay chocolates remember to thank the bats 🦇 as well as the person who gave you the chocolates ❤️🍫. Bats help to reduce insect damage in cacao plantations across the tropical world where chocolate is grown #BatsNeedFriends #Lovebats

Went to the craft shop on my way home from a driving lesson, and happened across a popup fabric shop 😍

Tough choice today… 🤔 #fiberart #knitting #crochet #knitter #yarn

When you haven’t figured out photoshop but you want to play with composition, scissors and tape are your friends. Working on a new piece using cutouts of my own photos. It’s like being a kid again :) #SciArt

This is gorgeous!

This week's #ShowMeYourKnits theme is love, so here's a gift knit for my mum in white and red (well, maroon)

Got a bag from Purl’s to carry multiple project bags and do a little advertising for them. Plus I love the idea of grouping fibers this way. Because, SCIENCE. #PurlsYarnEmpirium #Knitting #Yarn 🧶

All the pictures I've seen of book-inspired granny squares got me to do some crochet for once! Currently reading A Hat Full of Sky which was my first intro to Discworld a long time ago and had the perfect yarn to go with it 🧶

Good morning BlueSky🦋! Remember to take your knitting. This painting is called The Felixstowe to Ipswich Coach by Russell Sidney Reeve (1895-1970). 🧶 #goodmorning #bluesky #russellsidneyreeve #art #painting #paint #UK #knit #knitting #knitsky #knitter #bus #detail #travel #dog #flowers #forties

Wearing your handmade clothes is such a powerful type of self care! 🧶 You’re not only wearing something you like, but you’re also putting on a piece you spent hours mindfully making, just as you wanted it. And let’s not forget that knits are usually also very cozy ♥️ #knitsky #knitting #handmade

For #ShowMeYourKnits and I suppose also #SkyKAL - stripey socks! I love the self striping yarn , it looks so impressive without any extra effort. These are two of the (at least four) pairs of socks I'm planning to make this year

Progress on what is definitely my favourite knitting project yet 🧶 Wool & Honey by Andrea Mowry

🪡 French. Formal dress,1805. White cotton gauze on which is a powdering of small floral sprays and a border design composed of vine and a modified Greek fret worked in a chain stitch with fine red and white wool. © Musuem Fine Art, Boston #FashionHistory

Shiny jumper. Solid bronze flea jumping spider (Naphrys pulex) with black glass eyes, after assembly but before patination and polishing. Such a charming curious fellow 😎 from my last solo show #SciArt

Cables for #ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 This is the best photo I have of the cables on my Yggdrasil pullover, which I'm in the process of going back and adding more length to www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

This looks incredible!

Working on my Wool & Honey sweater! 🧶

My beautiful @ballyhourafibres.bsky.social sock set came in 😍

Now this makes me want to pick up my hooks and crochet a book blanket this year. Is there a knitting version out there? 🧶 #crochet #knitting #books #bookblanket

Got cute buttons for my cardigan project!
