Managed to sprain my ankle pretty bad today… it’s all bruised and super swollen. Resting it on ice now but geez I feel like a sad mermaid out of water, just dragging my leg around trying not to move it too much… 😭

They want us to forget history. They want to destroy the Department of Education so we become easier to manipulate. It starts with them attacking Trans folks, but we are ALL next. They are literally taking pages straight from the holocaust playbook. Don’t allow them to think we’ve forgotten.

Feeling accomplished. 💪🏼✨ I haven’t submitted any poems in months & I’ve been putting off working on one (due Saturday) for weeks bc I’ve been so exhausted. But I got it done today AND revised an old poem I wrote in 2021 after realizing it was perfect for another submission I’ve been putting off. 👏🏻

Last night I went to the inaugural reading of my hometown’s new Poet Laureate, Caleb Nichols, and wow. It was a full house & the community energy was strong & unmatched. I was so moved hearing all the incredible poets read their work. What a beautiful way to end a difficult week… 💕✨ felt spiritual.
