A 'Finch Fest' from a few days ago at the Llyn Brenig visitor centre feeder. At least six Bramblings were feeding on the ground together and counting others in the vicinity there looked to be ten in total. #birdingWales #ukbirding #NorthWales

In fading light I managed to film two of the half a dozen hawfinch present at Caerhun churchyard, Conwy Valley last week. #birdingWales #ukbirding

From my archive, Kaikora pelagic, New Zealand 2001 Salvin's Albatross (Mollymawk) (a scanned image of a slide hence low quality) #SuperSeabirdSunday #birds #NZbirds

Great to see Willow tits (2) yesterday on the feeders at the Osprey Lookout @brenigospreys.bsky.social @northwaleswildlifetrust.bsky.social Llyn Brenig. Thank you! Crossbills also nearby & one Brambling skulking in the trees by the main visitor centre pond. #birdingWales

Couldn't believe my eyes this week when I saw five Hawfinches feeding out in the open. Two males and three females. After many visits to Caerhun with either no views or distant treetop views, I was delighted. #birdingWales #NorthWales

Lovely to see Caerhun churchyard in the Conwy Valley carpeted in Snowdrops today #wildflowerhour #NorthWales

Despite the low light today the feathers on this Glossy Ibis at Rhuddlan were stunning to see. The poor bird seems to have sustained an injury and was bleeding a little from above its left leg this afternoon 😕 #birdingWales #ukbirding

A beautiful male Bullfinch to brighten up this grey weekend from a recent sunny day at RSPB Conwy 😀 #birdingWales #ukbirding

There has been quite a starling spectacle this week at RSPB Conwy. Video ends with a sparrowhawk attacking the flock but it had no luck.... #birdingWales #murmuration

I was pleased to track down the drake Surf Scoter today from the Rainbow Bridge, Colwyn bay (see video - very distant 😄) but then it flew towards the fisherman's pier. I somehow managed to capture the moment it flew ( 2nd arrow )😀awful footage! #birdingWales

Lovely to see my first coltsfoot of the year at RSPB Conwy yesterday. (phone-scoped at a distance!) #wildflowerhour #NorthWales

Mind-blowing numbers of starlings roosting this evening just before 5pm over Llangefni, Ynys Môn . Image doesn't even show half of what was there 😲 #birdingWales

Two Black Redstarts on the Great Orme today! After watching the stunning male at the copper mines I was very pleased, in fading light, to find a female type by the Rest and Be Thankful cafe on the Orme, Llandudno. Probably the same bird seen in November there. #birdingWales #ukbirding

Put your sound on and enjoy some relaxing waves and a gorgeous grey plover from a few days ago at Penrhyn Bay beach, Llandudno. #birdingWales #ukbirding
