I have a video of this arrest that I was given permission to share. I haven’t been able to do so because I can’t find a good free software to blur faces and I don’t have the time to learn how to do it manually. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d appreciate it.

NEW: DOGE Is Busier Than Ever—and Trump Says Elon Musk Is 'Really Not Leaving' This week, a bunch of us chatted with feds to get a sense of how Musk's "departure" would influence DOGE operations. The answer? It's not. www.wired.com/story/doge-e...

I keep thinking about all of the FedSoc lawyers who very quietly told me in 2016 that they were voting for Trump because they were worried about who Hillary would nominate for judgeships. Hope you’re all happy now.

Joni Ernst, at her town hall last night. When the crowd said people will die due to Medicaid and SNAP cuts, she said: "well we all are going to die." 🫠🫠🫠🫠

They are zip-tying children. They are zip-tying children. They are zip-tying children. Keep saying it. Make them defend it.

"Van Hollen’s frustration centered on the frequent gap between what the Trump administration says about its mass-deportation campaign in court, where it is required to tell the truth, and what officials say in public as they attempt to blunt criticism of their immigration crackdown"

Paul Starr digs into the crazy tax on universities in Trump's reconciliation bill. It would tax schools MUCH more heavily than corporations, as explicit political punishment for being "woke" prospect.org/education/20...

"Roughly 1,500 babies have been born HIV-positive every day since January 21, because Musk cut off their mothers’ medication." prospect.org/power/2025-0...

In some ways an even worse indictment than the use of AI is that simply having a couple of humans read and fact check the report before release cld have mostly or entirely removed the evidence. Just sloppy dumbfucks, basically. The guys who are getting rid of all the vaccines.

If attempted, this would constitute flagrant violations of the Privacy Act of 1974 www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/t...

the staggering human cost of the cuts to biomedical science. an estimated loss of 82 million years of life in the US over the next 25 years. jamanetwork.com/journals/jam...

Drug abuser lawlessly unleashed global suffering from the heart of American government. Nobody stopped him. There, that's your headline.

Any of my clients would have been dragged in for a security interview, drug testing and more.

he wrote this about Andrew Tate. this is not even the entire post.

and free of so many pesky federal investigations…

One core task of this moment will be to fully capture the cruelty and violence (yes, violence) this man unleashed upon the world -- and the disdain for humanity upon which it rests.

it takes a pretty high threshold for this column to call a lie a lie, especially about something as potentially inflammatory as this, so it means a lot that Kessler is so blunt: yes, recklessly and chaotically killing USAID and other foreign aid programs kills real people at a horrifying scale

People often say multi-billionaires like Elon Musk could eliminate global hunger if they wanted to. But fighting global hunger is, in reality, a VERY complex task! And not only did Elon opt not to use his billions to do it, he actually used his billions to stop others who WERE doing it!

I just think about the pressure and scrutiny applied to Hunter Biden and the Biden family despite him having no role at all in the administration or campaigns while this guy was allowed to do who knows what to the USG.

🤷🏿‍♀️😐

In Trump's head, Leonard Leo convinced him to appoint judges who have now ruled against him and so therefore Leo is now a "sleazebag" I cannot process the levels of self-owning and hubris and how terrible all this is for everyone else

This reminds me of the punditry that EVERY DEMOCRAT needs to atone for supposedly covering for Biden being old. Are we going to do that with Republicans who bowed down to a drug-addled Nazi taking a chain saw to government as they refused to perform their constitutionally mandated responsibilities?

Maniac Nazi on drugs kills hundred of thousands internationally. Installs giant video game screen in office.

I've covered the Christian right for more than 20 years. I will NEVER get over how they (marriage is between one man and one woman/anti-drugs even alcohol crowd) fell in line with worshipping Musk.

Getting a lot of "well we already knew this" and "are you surprised"-type replies to this. Come on now, we should keep talking about this, esp because it IS revelatory to a lot of people, and they need to know why [insert literally any federal agency from SSA to CDC to NWS] isn't functioning anymore

Dek here: "As Mr. Musk entered President Trump’s orbit, his private life grew increasingly tumultuous and his drug use was more intense than previously known." We find this out AFTER he's ripped apart the government for no reason and destroyed countless lives? www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/u...

"Despite everything DOGE claimed to do, government outlays are on track to rise by 9% in 2025 compared with 2024." And for that, hundreds of thousands of lives -- perhaps millions -- were lost. www.cnn.com/2025/05/30/p...

Who was/is in charge of DOGE? @telliotter.bsky.social talks to a fired DOGE staffer. Among other revelations: www.wired.com/story/fired-...

NEW: We obtained DHS data that shows the US knew only 32 of the 238 Venezuelans deported to a prison in El Salvador in March were convicted of US crimes, only 6 of those violent. Trump called them “savages,” “monsters” and "the worst of the worst.” www.propublica.org/article/trum...

Keep in mind, as @michellegoldberg.bsky.social does in her deservedly brutal oped today, that Musk couldn’t have wreaked so much damage without the compliance of the “lying or misinformed” Marco Rubios in this administration. Gift link: www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/o...

Elon Musk’s Legacy Is Disease, Starvation and Death - @michellegoldberg.bsky.social

Other than the wildly unconstitutional & illegal destruction of swathes of the government, the wildly unconstitutional & illegal security violations, & the millions who will die because of the destruction of USAID, sure. Journalism, what is it, anyway?
