Currently having the biggest #I’mAFeministBut moment of my life.

Ah, June rolls around, and social media is awash with ads for rainbow capitalism again. It gets earlier every year.

Despicable Men

My ADHD is still writing cheques my anxiety can’t cash.

Today in Prejudice Reinforcement: being cut up at a roundabout by a hideous, boxy, white Rolls Royce.

Pedro Pascal is the beauty and good this world needs.

It is a bitter truth that all my best writing inspiration has been found in dementia wards.

Horrorgate is still Cockery St. Flagshag, then.

How is it only 2pm? I’m sure I’ve done a full day’s worth of procrastinating already.

It is really quite unacceptably cold.

Something (mostly) nice. CN: Bono.

Jehovah’s Witlesses posing, and having the presumption to answer, the question of why there is so much wickedness in the world. “Thankfully, the Bible has the answer”, apparently, which is probably true, just not in the way they think.

I very rarely look at online news sites anymore, but I had a quick peek just now. It’s reassuring that there are still some constants in these turbulent times, like Lawrence Fox still being a sordid twat. Furthermore, he’s not even a real fox.

Belinda Carlisle had some absolutely banging tunes, but an incredibly annoying voice. Please don’t hate me.

Once again on this auspicious date of April 23 I feel the need to remind everyone that Shakespeare was born in what is now Turkey, never visited England and almost certainly could not speak or read English.

Casual Fridays just aren’t doing it anymore, we need ‘airport rules’ Fridays where you can wear sweatpants and day drinking is allowed and you can nap wherever you want and you have to go to at least one bookstore

When I was a teen - watching the disgrace of Section 28 - I hoped by late middle age we might have seen more progress #translivesmatter #lgbtq #nonbinary #solidarity

Truth

I absolutely understand a protest vote. There’s much to protest about. Don’t use the Reform Party for your protest vote though or you’ll be on the same side as racists, Islamophobes, climate change deniers and those who blame immigrants for their own poor choices and failures.

Repost if you’ve had enough of cis men gatekeeping womanhood.

Yeah can we stop asking politicians ‘what is a woman?’ and start asking them ‘what proof are you insisting women give you before you’ll let them go to the toilet?’

To achieve legal and/or medical transition in the UK, people are REQUIRED to live IN PUBLIC in their preferred gender, FOR A PERIOD OF YEARS. Or they will be refused support. CAN YOU UNDERSTAND that doing that is being made ILLEGAL? CAN YOU UNDERSTAND that it's making BEING TRANS illegal?

All in the name of protecting women, eh?

There's a bigger gathering of pro-trans demonstrators in Orkney than the TERFs could muster in Edinburgh for the Supreme Court ruling, in case you want further evidence of who better represents Scottish women.

fucking hell what a marketing stunt

Given how awful things are and how things that seem both obviously insane and deeply stupid keep happening then yes, I absolutely am throwing my hat into the ring to be the next pope. First thing I'll do, no more communion wafers. From now on communion chips.

This has brought a smile to my post-Bank Holiday morning.

Breast cancer diagnoses rose by over 300% between 1973 and 1992. Was there a breast cancer epidemic?! NO. Mammograms were implemented for screening in 1976. PREVALENCE is a function of being able to correctly diagnose something. This is also about autism.
