The best and the worst thing about vaccination is that it 'makes nothing happen.' A child successfully inoculated against measles doesn’t fall sick with that condition, doesn’t miss school, doesn’t go to the hospital. They don’t suffer life-changing complications. They don’t die prematurely."

The Indiana General Assembly wants to cut our early voting time in half. Early voting helps seniors and others who cannot or don't want to stand in a line for voting. Our voter turnout is so poor we need all the time we have.

Everybody—left, right, and center—bashes the New York Times, and that's fine, Americans need more shared pastimes like that. But isn't it amazing, and admirable, that the paper has atop its front page this grim photo from a war most Americans know nothing about?
