I imaginel lots of #CofEPeeps will honour her principled resignation. A political letter worth reading.

I am terribly impressed by the low light capabilities of my phone. ✝️ if you don't know you can play "guess the cathedral". No points, no prizes.

If you are planning a quiet day or retreat during Lent, why not take a St Clare’s'Retreat in a Bag' with you. There are six different ones to choose from, and we have reduced the price to £25 for ONE WEEK ONLY. Offer lasts until Ash Wednesday. #CofE stclaresatthecathedral.org/product-cate...

On a GWR IEP to Paddington. Just realised that all those neat little coat-hooks are practically useless. Spaced as if the whole coach has table seating aligned with windows. But lots of airline seats😬 Use them and coat hangs down in your face - or behind you. #UKRailway Attention to detail 🙄

If you're heading to London for #CofEpeeps #Synod, there are some wise words from 'old Synod hand' Simon Butler to be found on his FB feed www.facebook.com/share/p/1Au8... (Missing you already, look out for the tractors)

And then there are the multi-stories where the fluorescent lighting is so badly placed and so bright that you cannot actually read anything on the meter machine. Exeter I'm looking at you.

Meanwhile, out on the fringes of Anglicanism... ✝️

Interesting to see that after Badenoch's noisy yah-boo stuff, the House quietened down when Ed Davey starting asking serious questions, and listened to the question - and to the answer. #PMQs

Interesting - to say the least - statement from the non-Bishop leaders in the diocese of Liverpool (a couple of whom I know and admire). They're in a v. difficult position now. #CofE

Are we allowed to talk about building HS2 in full (including the eastern leg) rather than airport expansion in the middle of a climate crisis?

Oh dear, oh dear, ##CofEPeeps. Where to begin?

Thank goodness John Crace was able to listen in to Keir Starmer's phone call with Donald Trump... www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

This is a superb thread. Frightening and entertaining all I one go. Trouser fires. Who knew?

Just frame it so you can't see the answers at the bottom of the page and give yourself 10 minutes of torture 🤨

Should have added #CofE to this!

Old copies of @churchtimes.bsky.social - often entertaining as well as informative ✝️ I found this gem from 1908 Context - imminent Pan-Anglican Gathering & Lambeth Conference +London winning the 100 yards! @salisbury.anglican.org honourable mention Shame @bathandwells.bsky.social doesn't medal!

There are limits to the power of the Executive. In effect this is what Knut demonstrated, Charles I had to learn and, presumably, Trump will discover

Well, after 45 years in #CofE ministerial circles, these seem a little familiar. Full marks to @davewalker.bsky.social for a well-spotted trendency in his @churchtimes.bsky.social cartoon this week.

Stamps as a marker of change. Interesting #CofE thing to reflect on here.

Packing up the nativities in St Clare’s shop and thought I’d send one out as a gift to someone. Repost this post for a chance to win this Fair Trade nativity set from Peru.

The Arts page in this week's @churchtimes.bsky.social So good they printed it twice... ✝️

Here's a new/old word for royalists and #CofE liturgists. I don't recall it being used around the coronation last year, but it was clearly a word of the year when George VII was crowned in 1937.

I'm having a New Year clearout of old family papers. This is so bonkers that I can't bear to bin it. I mean, every #CofE person knows Queen Victoria was descended from King David. Don't they? If not, here's the proof... As for the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel...

Cartoon about using whatever life throws at you to fuel your art / work. From today’s newsletter, Diagram Club issue 23 open.substack.com/pub/diagramc...

I'm entirely agnostic about the names given to the Overground lines in London. (I know some people have decided to whinge about them.) However, #UKRailway, I'm not convinced that suffragettes can be replaced by buses.

Almost 90 years ago: #CofE clergy trying to forestall complaints about church heating. The 'new' system is having to be supplemented by using the old furnace as well. No water supply to the church restricts the options. Have to be tough in the N Yorks Moors... No clergy get this today, do they?
