I’m calling it now, they are gonna try to say that boycotting businesses is unethical or unAmerican.

I never really understood Pierrot more than I do now in my life. He represents so many of us that just want to be our gentle, authentic selves and be loved for it. But instead always find someone misunderstanding and rejecting us without ever truly giving us a chance.

You know, when you think about the fact that 54% of the country struggles with literacy. A lot of more of the US’s problems start to make sense. www.barbarabush.org/wp-content/u...

All I’m gonna say is if you had the energy to rip into the left when we had the AUDACITY to criticize Biden for not doing more to stop this from happening. You better show up and in a big way, because you insitutionalists were asleep at the wheel when we warned you all this would happen.

If there was ever a time to flip shit about everything happening in the US. This is it. The DOJ is the only thing standing between Trump and a full-blown constitutional crisis the likes of which this country has never seen. If this bastion falls, we are never going back to the life we had before.

Man, expecting Musk to expose corruption is like expecting a snake to suck out venom.

You ever notice how 90% of people who defend capitalism do so project all of the worst aspect of capitalism onto every other economic system?

I actually really like this organization. A union for just citizens, and already organizing a nationwide boycott.

To the guy with the Pal3stin3 flag at the Super Bowl. Good on you ✊

Our education system, the 40 hour work week, all of it was designed by oligarchs. People fail to often fully develop as a person under this system because we are made to become worker bees. Too busy to enrich our minds. Too busy working 3 jobs to survive. No hobbies, no vacations.

I often ponder if the real reason society is often so bitter is because from a young age we are taught to fear being singled out, to fear being the outcast. I theorize that this makes people really bury their true self in favor of adopting a socially acceptable version of themselves… 1/2

I could talk about how authenticity is often beaten out of people by a society that rewards conformity in the most formative years of our lives buuuut, I have many many thoughts on that. But is boggling to me that authenticity is treated with so much suspicion and vitriol by local society however-

One of the saddest realizations I have ever made is realizing how capitalism infiltrated friendships. Almost everything is transactional these days even friendship. It’s about social currency, networking, money, influence, credit, sex, etc. authenticity has become rare.

Why are politicians and commentators so fond of the word “demonstrable?” There are plenty of synonyms… verifiable, factual, proven, attestable, confirmable…

Worldwide strike coming up on the 28th.

The most revolutionary thing you can do right now is choose where to spend your money. Get in on the strikes and boycotts. Slay the giants, bleed them out.

“Maybe I should just pick up an instrument and just learn to play it wrong to spite society.” Wasn’t there like a whole movement based on this at some point?

Humans, remember those that are next to you . Show grace to those of heart and good faith. Everyone cannot fight and resist in the same manner .

Hope can hurt but hurt reminds you that you are alive. It means you still care, you have to try and self regulate so you do not fall into apathy and numbness. They want you to be numb, apathetic, and passive. Do NOT give in. Place your hope in the people, and those you love. You are NOT alone.

Another great thing you can do to is compile free resources. Learn about food shares, food drives, and community pantries. Many of these places have to throw mountains of fresh food away because not enough people take them. Let people know about them if they are facing food insecurity.

You can build community by simply learning peoples names, saying hi when you see them. People know people and can help you solve problems. It’s second nature but our culture of rugged individualism undermines it. It’s good to be friendly but I understand it can be intimidating.

For those of you unfamiliar I’ve been harping on about mutual-aid but I’m realizing many people don’t understand the concept. It’s community cooperation, something sadly lost on many Americans these days. It’s knowing your neighbors have your back if your car dies and vice versa.

Picked this up this week in preparation for the potential upcoming rough years. Clara has a youtube that I linked, she kept me fed on $400 a month for a few years.

Today is the day, show up if you can. Your country needs you

Prepping for a #GeneralStrike is good in its own rght. To be ready we must: * build working class solidarity across the artificial social divisions the ruling class imposes *build community and individual networks of mutual aid *build a strike fund.

To all my goths, punks, alt folks: DO NOT LET THESE FASCIST DORKS FEEL COMFORTABLE IN YOUR SCENE. The only intense form of subcultural gatekeeping that is worthwhile is making sure these anti-science hateful bigots do not get to share space in your scene.

What are you doing to build mutual aid networks?

This human is an absolute hero.

If you have never called congress, now is the time. Especially if you have anyone who relies on Social Security or any federal pension.
