Oh they’ve been trying that for years with protests even pushing redefining laws to call them riots without justification. I’m just waiting for them to try and make boycotting somehow illegal or some other unhinged nonsense like calling it nonphysical violence.

Agreed, we need people to try if we wanna see a shift in society and do away with self repression and stigmatization of self expression. I.e hair color, tattoos, piercings which seems to be on the backslide, again.

Except authenticity is often under attack. If you’re queer and that is a big part of your identity it’ll matter a fair bit. We’re not in a live and let live era. People will try to tear you down if you wanna break away from the norm or tell you to quit dreaming if you are seen as too ambitious.

This country hates when you dream about anything but more money. Who dreams more than the youth and look which age group is running the country. They are terrified of the youth.

And I genuinely think it all starts with our school system crushing the children’s individuality. It’s really no secret this country fears it’s youth. As they do everything they can to keep them occupied and unable to congregate without any kind of “supervision.” Makes you really wonder why?

I think the most miserable people in society followed the rules & roadmap laid out for them worked their job for decades feel cheated somehow. So everyone who is authentic and seem happy make them think about how they never got to be the person they wanted to be. So they just hate them for it.

And over the years they just lose sight of that “real” them. That they start trying to do all the things that society says will make them happy and not really knowing what makes them actually happy. So they just end up miserable, never really knowing why and hating everyone who seems authentic.

Strangely authenticity is revered on a macro scale by society. David Bowie on a small scale would be hated by society if not enough people knew of him. However he is adored and revered as a pioneer by society at large. But if only a few people knew him they would think he’s a freak.
