Half a century ago, at the height of the Cold War, I was a conscripted NCO with a forward-based Dutch artillery battalion in West Germany. In case of war between NATO and the Warsaw Pact, our unit was expected to be destroyed in 1.5 (!) days. Yet, I find the current situation MUCH more frightening.

Ja. We hebben 342 gemeenten in Nederland. 23.749/342= 69,4 asielzoekers per gemeente per jaar. Laten we voor het gemak aanhouden dat ze gemiddeld met z’n tweeën een huishouden delen. Dat zijn in totaal gemiddeld 34,7 woningen per gemeente, per jaar. Dat is nog niet eens een straat.
