Could someone on #LawSky help me out with what literally constitutes fighting words? I’ve been unable to Google examples when I’ve tried, but what I just heard one of those far-right Bible cult creeps says to a woman on campus has to be fighting words or else I can’t understand the concept.

Forward section of a shuttle SRB lowered into place for STS-92 (c. 2009). The forward skirt, w its avionics, separation motors, parachutes, and more, is part of what distinguishes an SRB (Solid Rocket Booster) from an SRM (solid rocket motor). (There's also an aft skirt.) 📸 - Kennedy Media Archive

Had some good observing last night in the backyard 🔭🌃 NGC2244 (The Satellite Cluster) and the Rosette Nebula - an open cluster of stars driving the shining nebula around it. M35 - an open cluster ~900 parsecs away, with the smaller open cluster NGC 2158 in the upper right.

I know what everyone's thinking - where were the fire extinguishers on shuttle? Well, here they are. One over the PLT's shoulder, and two in the middeck (one over the side hatch and one in the ditch over the airlock hatch) 👨‍🚒 Seen below in that order. Diagram from Shuttle Crew Ops Manual (SCOM) 🚀

The only non-fly-by-wire part of the Shuttle was the landing gear, since it couldn't be reversed and accidental deployment on-orbit would be very bad. Here are the buttons the PLT would push to trigger them (ARM and DN) 👩‍🚀 (From Real Engineering: www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4FC... and GigaPan.com)
