The Shift (Father Murphy) by Jaci Turner A gentle reflection on memory, love, and walking alongside someone as they begin to fade, yet still remain. 💛 This one is for anyone who's held on while time slipped forward. 🕊️ Read the full piece: jaciturner.com/the-shift-fa... #Poetry #MemoryAndLove

Shakespeare once warned us through Butcher and Cade: A tyrant begins with a blade to the trade. “Kill all the lawyers”, a line from the play, Now lives in the tactics we see day by day.

When NOAA Goes Quiet by Jaci Turner They watch the skies and read the seas, They track the storm, the shifting breeze. They warn the coast, they guard the land, With data drawn by steady hand. 🧵

"The Cost of the Comeback" by Jaci Turner What happens when power profits from chaos? A poetic reflection on economic spin, media noise, and reclaiming truth. Read the full poem here: jaciturner.com/the-cost-of-... #PoetryWithPurpose #TheCostOfTheComeback #SpokenWord #PoetryCommunity

Even a divided Court can still find common ground when it comes to the fundamentals of the Constitution. - A Grateful Nation

The Cost of the Comeback I stir the storm. I hawk the rain. Let markets break, I’ll reap the gain. I crash the ship, then spin the wheel, And sell the wound as time to heal. 🧵

He still remembers, now and then, But slips between the now and when. His eyes still meet me, sharp and wide, Then drift away, then turn, then hide. The jokes come less, the light is thin, A quiet hush has moved within. He tires early, walks more slow, His voice now softened, hushed, and low. 🧵

@ezralevin.bsky.social @leahgreenberg.bsky.social Lifted Eyes, Open Hands April 5th, 2025 Across the towns and busy streets, We marched with hope, not paid deceit. No script, no check, no silent cue, Just hearts alive with work to do. 🧵

The Brief Must Stand by Jaci Turner They came with memos, bold and cold, To strip the laws, reshape the fold. They named the firms that dared to fight, Then dimmed their halls and killed their light. They canceled clearances with ease, Revoked the rights to serve or plead. 🧵

Tariffs and Truth He taxed the world with hardened hand, A tariff line for every land. No ally spared, no reason clear, A storm of boasts, all pride and fear. He claimed the experts couldn’t see, That only he could set us free. But costs rose fast and wages thinned, 🧵

What We Choose To See I watch the news and see two lives, Not skin but sorrow that survives. A victim lost, a path gone wrong, A headline wrapped in aching song. A father torn from U.S. ground, No charge, no warning, barely found. Deported fast, no voice, no plea, His rights erased too quietly. 🧵

The Wind Is Shifting The wind is shifting, can you feel? The cracks beneath the cold reveal. Where silence smothered what we knew, Now voices rise in shades of blue. In courtrooms once too blind to see, Now truth reclaims its dignity. 🧵
