This is the old grammar school in Cirencester, now a private house. My grandfather was educated here.

Here the latest from JHM.

It's good to know there are exceptions. I'm sure there are many others who agree. Well done, Nathan!

Here's an old sign from when The Brewery actually brewed πŸ˜„

Back to our usual haunt when we walk to town, Blend Cafe at Brewery Arts.

These images show clearly how the polar regions are warming faster than the other parts.

Jesus prays for the future, and we're trying to grasp the significance of it all. Perhaps it goes further than we think?

Latest from JHM, a footbridge in Bedford sparks some thoughts.

A bit more of my life story here, growing in faith. There's a link to part one in case you missed it.

I just posted this on Journeys HM because it's so beautiful. Enjoy!

A cinnabar moth on the footpath a few days ago. We moved it tao somewhere safer.

Latest from JHM: Thoughts on what makes us human

Geese on the river - When Christianity was made the state religion in 380 AD, everything changed. By that time, burgeoning, even explosive growth in Christianity had reduced worship in the Classical Greco-Roman temples to a low ebb. #River #Photo #History #Church jhm.scilla.org.uk/2025/05/21/g...

A video of tectonic plate movement breaking the ground that lies on top of the fault line. Awesome!

This garage seems to be having a bad hair day!

This is the weekend of Cirencester's Food Festival, lots of interesting stalls in the Market Place.

Lunch today with Donna and Isobel at The Old Prison in Northleach. It's an interesting place.

This old roller in someone's front garden is interesting. It was made by a company called Aubrey Rees here in Cirencester. They manufactured simpler items themselves and sold tractors, combines, ploughs etc.

Snow in summer! That's the common name in the UK.

I caught a later bus to Cheltenham to visit my neighbour who is in hospital. Here's a side entrance at Cheltenham General leading to the ward he's on. But when I reached him he was fast asleep to I crept away without having a conversation. I can try again another day.

This morning I caught the wrong bus and ended up in #Cirencester when I'd intended to go to #Cheltenham. It worked out well though as I bumped into a friend in St Michael's Park and we we able to chat over #lunch. I love it when mistakes turn out unexpectedly well!

Here's my most recent article on JHM, another autobiographical 'Blast from the past'.

Back in our frequent haunt, Blend. It's a 2 km walk from home, great food, then any shopping we need and 2 km back home. Perfect!

We had some heavy rain this afternoon, but only for a few minutes. The garden needs more, so I'm hoping there'll be further showers over the next few days.

Here's my latest JHM post.

Back at Jacks for a morning coffee. Rain is forecast for this afternoon, but blue sky and warm for now.

Minch Mob out on Friday #kites #kiteflying #minchinhampton #Gloucestershire #cotswolds #fridayflyday

Here's the courtyard at #Jacks coffee shop in Cirencester. There's access to the #CoriniiumMuseum from here.

The #LongfieldHospice charity shop in Cirencester. We dropped off some items this afternoon. Longfield were so helpful during COVID before my Father-in-law died. Kind, patient, and caring.

Donna's two raised beds in our back garden, she plans to grow #vegetables in them. I filled them with a 50/50 mix of soil and compost.

Some interesting chimneys in #Cheltenham this afternoon.

I parked some distance from the hospital, and got this view of Cleeve Hill on my walk. Beatiful #Cotswolds.

I visited a friend in #Cheltenham General #Hospital this evening. He's recovering from a stroke. I think he's doing quite well and he seems to be very well looked after. Thank you so much, #NHS. πŸ‘

Here's looking at you! Three interesting little clouds this evening from our back garden 😊

This is the old Strict Baptist chapel in Cirencester, close to the Corinium Museum. We walked past on our way to town

Morning from Kyiv. russia launched 150 drones on Ukraine overnight, yesterday night - 170. I had my #warcoffee with the remnants of faith in humanity.

Life Behind the Lines. If you are my supporter, you should have received the letter. It tells the story of my visit to a beautiful tiny Church almost 1,000 years old. It is still open. It still stands. If you are not my supporter yet but want to join, all the links are in my bio.

Today's JHM article is about the use of AI to improve robotic functionality. #Robot #Balance jhm.scilla.org.uk/2025/05/08/b...

Here's my article on #JHM from Tuesday, another post is almost ready for today. jhm.scilla.org.uk/2025/05/06/c...

This dark line across the sky is most likely the shadow of an aircraft contrail above the cloud layer. You can't see the contrail as it's hidden by the cloud. It's a very striking phenomenon! Sometimes you can see both the contrail AND its shadow, but not this time.

Here is Anna talking about the latest events. www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlUF...

This is very amusing. Ukraine has tricked Putin into moving a lot of air defence systems to the Moscow area to protect the city during tomorrow's military parade. So now there are many unprotected military and military industrial sites unprotected. So guess what Ukrainian drones are targeting now?

Here's one of the videos I watched, Robert Fox being interviewed on Times Radio. He suggests that Russia's war will probably be over within a few months. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uB9J...

Had a coffee at Nero in Cirencester and watched some interesting interviews on the Russian war against Ukraine. Russia is weakening. Ukraine is getting stronger πŸ‘.
