Labour is handing this country on a silver platter to Reform. People do not vote Labour because they hate immigrants and want Reform-lite. They vote Labour because they want it to make a positive difference to their lives.

Labour needs several million buckets of ice-cold water poured over their head and the nation's church bells ringing in unison as a very loud wake-up call. Hopefully, this is it. People voted for hope and change and vision not Reform lite and the same old Tory shite.

How do Labour not understand this - if people want Reform-style nastiness over immigration etc, they're going to vote Reform, not for the Labour lo-fat sugar-free version. All Labour are doing (apart from tarnishing their souls), is driving away all us leftie humane decent openhearted types.

A powerful sand sculpture honoring the strength and sacrifice of working women. With a child on her back and bricks on her head, she builds the world silently. #InternationalLabourDay

In case you missed the update - I'd been hoping that perhaps the memorial donations to the PPC would crest $13k, a grand for each year we got to spend with Greyson; but you all blew past that goal, and now the new low-cost spay/neuter program is live! www.cheriepriest.com/blog/in-memo...

the poor foster dog is terrified of the coffee grinder. i feel the need to explain. “these are the beans you have to drink when you are a person,” i say. “sometimes things are very very bad. but then the beans happen and it is good.” i can tell she understands

Soft the waves and soft the sky. Golden breezes drifting by. Rocks like ancient dreams at rest. Cradled by the ocean’s breast. Whispers hum along the shore. Calling hearts to dream once more. Peace flows in the amber light. Turning the day into the night.

look I know it’s #Caturday and all, but this is so lovely I cannot/will not keep it to myself:

This reminds me of my favourite ever Irish insult (normally directed at humans but definitely applies here too) that goes "he looks like his mammy knitted him"

My camera battery ran out last night at the beach, but I still managed to capture this elegant sunset on my iPhone #photography #sunset #beach #SanDiego

I was just told that my launch event in Glasgow was going to be cancelled because I don't have *enough* tickets sold. Humiliating—not least because I worked my butt off for this book & went to other people's launches. If I could sell a few more today, maybe I could change their minds. Please.

If you're wondering why so many right wing individuals are saying hateful things about the late Pope, the reason is simple: he told them that they should care about other people.

The sublime Art Nouveau 'Hatrack' Building on St Vincent St, Glasgow. Craft and engineering aligned - it encapsulates the poignant stories of its architect and sculptor. The interior detailing is a joy as well as the elegant detailing of the elevator. (see ALT for more).

For the evening crowd! We have a rough total for donations, but only up through Sunday morning. I expect it will go higher, as people have also been donating today - and you can too! It’s never too late to help the terrific little no-kill shelter that trusted us with Greyson 13 years ago 👇❤️👇
