With regards his share, Starmer only has himself to blame. With 90% of his voters wanting closer links with the EU, it's obvious what he needs to do. Instead, and for reasons known only to himself, he prefers to fight over the scraps left by the ever diminishing number of leave voters. Go figure

I'm not one for conspiracies but Starmer may well be in Trump's pocket already or at least moving in that direction. Time will tell if I'm wrong, but it would explain Labours' reluctance to form closer links to the EU.

Indeed. The SNP do a magnificent job governing the country but I would beg @johnswinney.bsky.social to be bold. It's not an easy decision, I appreciate that, but if we dont do this not only is indy off the table but we will remain locked out of the EU. The future of our country is truly at stake.
