Indian Heaven is shedding its winter coat in a hurry! Reached a favorite place, my Crescent Crater Lake. Last I was here in October, I was kicking through the first layers of the snow melting today, in places still several feet deep. It'll all be gone in days.

Another of the many horrific clearcuts on our #publiclands, which I photographed on my flight with @lighthawk-org.bsky.social this past weekend. Many of these clearcuts are so recent that they have not showed up yet on satellite maps - the condition our forests is growing worse each and every day.
