I hope Trump and Musk are happy; they’ve got my conservative, very religious mom sharing Occupy Democrats posts.

The question of “who is qualified to be a food writer” in this analogy is completely different from “what should a food writer write about,” but okay.

So CONCLAVE is winning Best Picture now I guess.

Update: The conversations have been challenging, but mostly positive. They love their family members and want them to be happy, and we’ll see about the journey from there to wider understandings about people not like them.

Dear manager, last week I: - went to Georgia and California and anywhere I could run - took the hand of a preacher man - made love in the sun - went to Nice and the Isle of Greece - sipped champagne on a yacht - moved like Harlow in Monte Carlo - showed them what I’ve got

Dear manager, last week I: - took it to the bridge - threw it overboard - saw if it could swim back in to the shore

My new favorite tv show is rooms full of angry white people yelling at their republican representatives.

Just an observation that “jeez, can’t you take a joke” has been the default position of asshole bullies from time immemorial, and that being a “dick” ironically becomes vanishingly indistinguishable from being a just-plain-dick.

Stay focused, everyone. His Force-choking of underlings is just a distraction from his Alderaan policies.

Saw this headline turnup in my feed, and somehow it was the words "fourth week" that nearly broke me.

You don’t have to be smart to be a dictator; you just have to be an unscrupulous misanthrope.

At the February 2017 town hall for Rep. Jason Chaffetz I attended, he was stunned by how volatile it was, and ended it early. Three months later, he resigned.

Watching an old video of Stanford in the 1992 women’s Final Four, and there was a reference to a Virginia player having “a slight concussion, but she’s playing through the pain … [hits free throw] but it looks like she can see the basket [chuckles]” and oh how times have changed.

I've shared my history with the Bond movies before: The Roger Moore instalments were the 1st blockbusters I fell in love with, even before STAR WARS. I have deep affection for them, despite them being not very good. And I just don't care what does or doesn't happen with the character going forward.

Prime Video's THE YOUNG MISS MONEYPENNY ADVENTURES gonna be lit.

Calling yourself a king doesn’t make you a king. Being born in Arizona, moving to Babylonia and having a condo made of stone-a does.

Not to bury the point of the article, but copy editing matters: Hull was not found to have had CTE after his death; he was found after his death to have had CTE. Those are *not* the same thing.

I absofuckinglutely do not need whatever was deemed expendable from a 2-1/2 hour version of the play’s first act.

The more of Josh Johnson I watch—and he’s so prolific, there is more of Josh Johnson to watch every week—the more I’m convinced he’s next-level special as a writer, a storyteller, an entertainer, a philosopher and an absolute gotdam master of the callback kicker.

This is fucking incredible.

Hello, it’s me, the guy who has been pronouncing the title of the new Paolo Sorrentino movie PARTHENOPE as though it rhymes with “envelope” rather than with “Penelope.”

I honestly don’t blame any storyteller in any medium right now wondering if there’s a point telling stories with moral complexity because humanity just seems to be getting stupider by the moment.
