I’m going to filter out all tech articles that use the phrase “game-changer”. It never is and I’ll gain back so much time.

Kitchen recycling bins are like a domestic reverse jenga game. Everyone keeps trying to squeeze in one more can or carton until it finally doesn’t fit. And that loser has to take the bag outside.

Every day is a gift, but lots of them are cheap promotional gifts, like koozies

I’m not a doctor but I’m pretty sure I could diagnose this one…

I like state machines. I still struggle a bit to get my mind bent into state machine shape, but I’m always so happy with the quality of what I build when I do

Redux toolkit has pretty much nailed all the pain points I’ve previously had with redux, which I still use a ton and love, but wasn’t able to upgrade to rtk yet. Started redoing a very old app with it and it has so much clarity and way less boilerplate. Thank you @acemarke.dev, @phry.dev and all...

Slowly redoing 18yr old vanillaJs app that had custom gui framework (as none existed, even jquery was new) into React, TS, and RTK. Will be interesting to compare app sizes and general amount of code when done. And yes, it’s been running in prod this entire time with very minimal changes since then…

Every dad gift ideas list is like: Scotch rocks, socks that are also a knife, bacon wallet, hammer subscription

if you're a tech journalist in the present climate, it's incumbent upon you to ask why big tech is pursuing dead ends like AI when they could just start using the number 2. ones and zeroes have taken us as far as they can. either chuck a few 2s in there or cede the future of tech to those who will

One of the things I like about the tech community here on BlueSky is that I haven’t seen as much self promotion. At least maybe the grifters haven’t figured out the algorithm here. Twitter was so bad I nearly walked away from it.

135 days in and finally learned something I can use. 😂

It's done. Now it’s your turn, Oracle. We’ve submitted a formal petition to cancel the JavaScript trademark: it is generic, Oracle has abandoned it, and Oracle committed fraud on the USPTO during the last trademark renewal. It's time to #FreeJavaScript. deno.com/blog/deno-v-...
