I considered just not getting out of bed, but I think my biggest, most helpful takeaway from therapy (before my therapist broke up with me) is this habit I am developing where I focus not on what I didn’t or can’t do, but on what I can do. “What can I do right now?” Today I can buy books and music.

So he gets to keep his property in exchange for some amount of money AND he has to promise not to break the law in defaming the women again? If the freaking LAW didn't keep him from doing it -- even after being found liable -- what's to keep him from doing it NOW?

Opened this app for the first time in a year, and the first thing I see is a @melissa808.bsky.social post I just read a second ago on Threads. 🙂 Plus all these friends whose absence here made it a lonely space a year ago.

(literally) hot take: if someone orders a latte but doesn’t say “iced,” the assumption should always be not iced. i get so many iced lattes i didn’t order and don’t want to waste by asking for a redo. a latte is espresso, steamed milk, and milk froth.

It pleases me to learn that glutinous rice doesn’t contain gluten. Bring on the mochi.

Enjoying the gentle-but-unsure reemergence of Good Nate on #tedlasso this season. We are all broken, and we are all equipped differently for dealing with it.
