The Win 3.1 Sound Recorder I guess a lot of people did their first sound recordings on PC ever with this program. We used it to record extraordinary stupid sounds and import them into the shareware version of Doom, with a little program called dmaud.exe. Jolly good times. #msdos

"Multitasking" (and more) in DOS with Dos Navigator You can open multiple Tabs (number to the upper left) and copy/paste from one to another. Does not work in Dosbox. There are newer open source versions with different features - see screenshots for latest. Feature wise, NDN is a monster. #msdos

Lunar Lander (MS-DOS: 1984) Lunar Lander games date back to 1969, the first ones being text based. The first graphical versions appeard in 1973. I can't remember landing the MS-DOS version succesfully even once. But it's quite fun to suck at this game. #msdos #retrogaming
